Ao's face darkened at Naruto's rude remark. If you don't know how to talk, kid, then keep your mouth shut. You'll give people the wrong idea.
"Hey, hey, hey, you little brat! Have you forgotten me already?"
Ao sounded a little uncertain, but Naruto was still the same as ever. He hadn't remembered Ao's name.
"(⊙o⊙)... Um, aren't you the guy who stole our village's Byakugan?"
Naruto thought for a long time, but that was all he could remember. His words made the atmosphere painfully awkward. Even Victor, standing beside Ao, felt embarrassed. Everyone knew the truth, but saying it openly was another matter entirely.
A vein bulged on Ao's forehead as he heard Naruto's words, and he shouted at the top of his lungs, "How many times do I have to tell you? This Byakugan was a trophy I took from the battlefield!"
Naruto merely picked his nose, completely unconcerned, then casually flicked away the booger.
"Seriously, stealing is stealing. Why dress it up with all those high-sounding excuses? A war trophy, huh? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I really should've let Nii-san gouge out your Byakugan back then."
Those words seemed to strike a nerve. Ao covered his missing right eye. The pain and humiliation were still vivid, as though it had all happened yesterday. All the mechanical parts on his body were thanks to that person, too.
As it turned out, after Meihui had considered gouging out Ao's Byakugan, Naruto had stopped him in time. Even so, Meihui still felt that leaving the eye with Ao might not be safe, so he had arranged for Uchiha Shizuku to destroy it.
Mind you, he wanted it destroyed outright, not recovered.
Meihui had begged Shizuku for a long time back then. No matter what he said, she refused to do it,
