Just dealing with Naruto and Sasuke on his end was already this much of a struggle.

He had already discovered Jigen's weakness. Despite having an ability that could instantly kill them both, Jigen kept refusing to use it. Sasuke boldly surmised that something might be wrong with him, preventing him from using that powerful ability. Or perhaps the price of using it
