Seeing Meihui smile like a little sun, Tsunade gave him the necklace her grandfather had left her.
That scared the hell out of Meihui. Everyone who received that necklace ended up dead. Naruto had only survived because he had the Nine-Tails, and his dad, Minato, had helped too. Otherwise, he would have been a goner long ago.
Now that the necklace had somehow ended up in his hands, Meihui felt utterly unsettled. After all, there was no telling with supernatural stuff like this.
"Naruto, how about you take this?"
Naruto shook his head. "This is a gift Granny Tsunade gave you. How could I accept it?" As he spoke, he pushed it back into Meihui's hands.
The little sun Tsunade thought she saw was actually a sneaky little bastard, but things had already reached this point, and he was too embarrassed to refuse.
"All right, you little brat. Put it on." Tsunade rested a hand on Meihui's shoulder, making him feel a little bashful. Jiraiya, watching from the side, went green with envy.
"Um, Big Sis Tsunade, could we talk something over?" Meihui asked as he pushed her arm away.
"Oh? I refuse. Once you've given something away, you can't just take it back."
Tsunade didn't even give Meihui a chance, cutting off his escape route outright. With that settled, they prepared to return to Konoha.
Over the next few days of travel, Meihui was completely floored by Tsunade. She was hopelessly addicted to gambling, and she was the kind who loved playing despite being terrible at it. She never won, yet she kept at it without giving up.
Whenever they tried to talk her out of it, she said she would soon be back in the village serving as Hokage, so she wanted to squeeze in a few more
