Goku flashed into the spectator stands where his friends and family sat.
"Goku!" The moment Chi-Chi saw him, she left her seat and threw herself into his arms, hugging his strong waist tightly.
"You scared me half to death just now," Chi-Chi said tearfully, burying her face in his chest.
"Chi-Chi, I'm fine." Goku gently patted her back.
Their other companions kept congratulating him on making it into the final three.
They weren't at home, and Chi-Chi knew she shouldn't cling to him for too long here. She let go of Goku and stood quietly beside him, listening as he spoke with their friends.
Meanwhile, Jiren returned to the gods' Spectator Area.
He lowered his head and said to his personal Guide Angel, "I'm sorry. I lost the match and let you down."
His Guide Angel was a tall male Angel named Serantis.
Ever since Jiren had become a God of Destruction, Serantis had been teaching him.
Thus, Serantis was not only his personal Guide Angel, but also his new teacher.
Serantis smiled warmly. "One victory or defeat doesn't mean much, Jiren. You've already done wonderfully. Keep working hard."
Looking at Serantis, Jiren felt as though he could see a trace of his first teacher, Gicchin.
Jiren said, "The last time I competed in the Tournament of Power, Goku wasn't nearly this strong. I never imagined he could develop his Ultra Instinct to this level in such a short time. He's truly a genius."
"Yes, his teacher is Whis, my older brother. I've always admired Whis's ability to teach. Since you're both students of Angels, your loss to Goku also means I lost to Whis. So let's keep working hard together," Serantis said.
Jiren felt that his teacher was far too gentle, but he actually rather liked it.
"All right."
