Chapter Summaries

Goku proposed using the Fusion Technique with Vegeta to defeat Jass, and Vegeta reluctantly agreed to learn the Fusion Dance. Goku began teaching him while Jass continued to overpower Broly.

• Jass charged at Goku and Vegeta, but Broly intercepted him while Goku used Instant Transmission to bring Vegeta to the others.
• Goku gave Vegeta and himself Senzu Beans, healing their injuries and triggering a Saiyan power increase in Vegeta.
• Goku explained that he and Vegeta could fuse using the Fusion Technique, but Vegeta initially refused.

Goku and Vegeta performed the Fusion Dance and became Gogeta, who confronted Jass after Jass knocked Broly down. Gogeta prepared to take Jass down, while Beerus expressed interest in fighting him.

Gogeta brutally overpowered Jass while Merus arrived on Earth, and Son Gohan returned to reunite with his family and the Z Fighters. Gohan promised to revive Trunks with the Dragon Balls and argued with Beerus over the damage to Earth.

• Whis and Vados recognized Merus as their younger Angel brother and discussed Whis looking after him.
• Gogeta dodged Jass's Spatial Restraint and battered him with punches too fast for the spectators to see.
• Jass spent the last of his life force to regain his strength and charge Gogeta, but Gogeta punched through his chest and reduced him to dust.
• The spectators cheered, and Son Goten persuaded Little Wu to agree to fusion in exchange for toys and money.
• Gogeta introduced himself to Son Gohan, then tested their strength through their handshake until sparks and smoke appeared along their arms.

After Gogeta’s fusion ended, Whis and Merus explained how Jass had gained his power and exhausted his life force. Son Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta agreed to help the Galactic Patrol deal with the Heeters and escaped prisoners, while Gohan made restoring Earth the first priority.

• Trunks invited everyone to eat at his home, and Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha went to fetch their families and friends.

Son Gohan tracked down the Heeters’ base and began wiping out its guards while demanding that Elec come out. Elec emerged, unaware of the slaughter, confident in his newly increased power and ready to confront Gohan.

• Son Gohan declined Merus’s offer of Jaco’s help, returned to Earth for the Dragon Radar, and used Instant Transmission to reach the Heeters’ base.
• Elec learned that Zuno had refused to join the Heeters and ordered his subordinate to make Zuno disappear.
• Son Gohan killed Elec’s one-armed subordinate outside the base, then entered and killed the mercenaries and assassins who attacked him.
• Son Gohan called Elec out, and Elec stormed outside, furious and confident in the power Jass had given him.

Son Gohan killed Elec, stored the Heeters’ castle planet in his other-dimensional space, and traveled to Planet Cereal to find its Dragon Balls. After locating the Two-Star Dragon Ball, he sensed Granolah and teleported to him.

• Elec attacked Son Gohan, broke his own arm, and was erased when Son Gohan used Destruction.
• Son Gohan stored the empty castle base in his other-dimensional space and headed for Planet Cereal.
• Son Gohan surveyed Planet Cereal, found the Two-Star Dragon Ball buried in the desert, and sensed Granolah’s Ki.
• Son Gohan suspected Granolah had killed Oil and Maki, then used Instant Transmission to reach Granolah as he studied the Dragon Ball mark on his forehead.

Son Gohan met Granolah on Planet Cereal, explained that he had killed Jass and Elec, and gave Granolah the Two-Star Dragon Ball. He asked to meet the Namekian who created the planet’s Dragon Balls, but learned that the only surviving Namekian, Monaito, apparently was not their creator.

• Son Gohan appeared behind Granolah, blocked his attack, and confirmed that he was a Saiyan.
• Granolah admitted killing Oil and Maki, and Son Gohan told him that Jass and Elec were already dead.
• Granolah suspected Son Gohan wanted the Dragon Balls, but Son Gohan gave him the Two-Star Dragon Ball.
• Son Gohan asked to meet the Namekian who created Planet Cereal’s Dragon Balls, and Granolah said Monaito was the only surviving Namekian but apparently had not made them.

Son Gohan visited Monaito and learned that his grandfather Bardock had saved Monaito and Granolah during the attack on Planet Cereal. Monaito gave Gohan Bardock’s old Scouter, leaving Granolah to confront the complicated truth about his past.

• Granolah agreed to take Son Gohan to Monaito after Gohan asked to meet him.
• Monaito recognized Son Gohan’s resemblance to Bardock, and Gohan revealed that Bardock was his grandfather.
• Monaito recounted how Bardock had spared Granolah and his mother and later saved Monaito and Granolah from the Heeters Brothers.

Son Gohan used Forced Spirit Fission to remove the Dragon Ball from Granolah without harming him, allowing Granolah to summon Tottrunpo and wish for Monaito to regain his youth. With Monaito restored and the pair reunited, Son Gohan left, and Granolah reflected that the decades-long grudges had finally ended.

• Son Gohan struck Granolah with Forced Spirit Fission and separated the Dragon Ball from his body.
• Granolah summoned Tottrunpo with the two Dragon Balls and wished for Monaito to regain his youth.
• Tottrunpo restored Monaito, who left his wheelchair and ran outside to join Granolah.
