"Um... Lady Tsunade isn't caught in your genjutsu, is she?!"
Shizune watched Tsunade stand frozen in place, Bai Ye's Mangekyo Sharingan reflected in her pupils.
This kind of genjutsu...
It could actually take control of even a Kage-level fighter outright.
That sent a wave of relief through Shizune, who had been about to help Tsunade just moments earlier.
Luckily, she had kept her cool and hadn't attacked him. Otherwise, she would probably have ended up just like Tsunade.
But what was she supposed to do now?!
Shizune moved closer, hoping to release Tsunade from the genjutsu, and fed chakra into her body through her palm.
As she did so, Shizune instinctively glanced at Bai Ye. Seeing that he had no intention of stopping her, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief. But a moment later, her brows tightened, and alarm crept into her heart.
H-how was this possible?!
Shizune discovered that after her chakra entered Tsunade's body, it seemed to have no effect at all, even though it should have helped break the genjutsu.
Tsunade still looked just as trapped in the genjutsu as before.
"Those who cannot face reality, immerse yourselves in genjutsu..."
What a poser!
Shizune's lips twitched. Hearing Bai Ye's words, she had no idea what to say.
Bai Ye really knew how to put on airs.
But she also knew this wasn't the time to dwell on that.
Shizune was reluctant to approach Bai Ye. He was simply too terrifying, and his strength had already left quite a shadow over her.
But for Tsunade's sake, Shizune suppressed her fear and looked at Bai Ye. "Did you put Lady Tsunade under genjutsu to cure her hemophobia?! But... hemophobia is a psychological condition..."
This was honestly the first time she had heard of using this sort of genjutsu
