Background / History

Tsunade belongs to the Senju Clan, whose members abandoned their surname and integrated into Konoha in accordance with Hashirama’s dying wish. Although she retains a strong attachment to her family’s legacy, she is known simply as Tsunade 37.

Her younger brother Nawaki died during the Second Shinobi World War. Bai Ye later publicly questions the circumstances: Nawaki died behind friendly lines, his internal organs were removed, and no investigative findings were produced.
