Drawing the kikaichū back into his body, Aburame Ryoma spoke to the person beside him.
"Owl, send word to Faceless immediately. Pass along the intelligence we've gathered here and tell him to prepare to move."
"Yes..."
A Root Ninja behind him hurriedly answered.
Then the ninja performed the Summoning Technique, summoning a massive eagle owl.
The ninja quickly wrote down the intelligence, slipped it into the owl's mouth, and sent it off to deliver the message.
With that done, Aburame Ryoma withdrew his gaze, turned, and called out.
"Let's go. The show is about to begin."
With those words, he took the lead in pursuing Yechen and the others in the direction they had left. The rest followed close behind.
Before long, it was the evening of the fourth day.
Yechen sat cross-legged on a tree branch, cultivating. Suddenly sensing something amiss, he opened his eyes and looked around. It was much the same as the previous few days: someone was clearly watching him, yet there was no sign of them.
He had considered using the Byakugan to find whoever it was, but decided against it.
The watchers had only been monitoring him and had never made a move. Clearly, they were waiting-and he was waiting for them to show themselves, too.
Besides, this was already the fourth day. If they wanted to attack before his group reached their destination, tonight was their best opportunity.
By noon tomorrow, they would enter Konoha's defensive zone, where launching an attack would become considerably more troublesome.
So Yechen was in no hurry to flush them out. Instead, he waited for them to appear together so he could catch them all in one net.
That would spare him the annoyance of having the rats in hiding emerge one at a time.
Suddenly sensing someone
