The two chatted a while longer before Shisui Uchiha said goodbye and left.
He still had a mission and could not stay here too long.
Yechen had also said he would notify him if he found anything. If he found nothing, what was there to report?
After seeing Shisui Uchiha off, Yechen returned to his bedroom. Rather than going straight to sleep, he considered whether to pay Obito Uchiha a visit and see how much he had improved over the years.
After some thought, Yechen decided it would be best to make a few preparations first.
The next day.
Early morning.
After a quick wash and getting dressed, Yechen left home to find something to eat.
Since he was taking a break, he naturally had to live like a normal person, and good food was an essential part of that.
"I wonder if any stalls are open today."
Standing outside his home, Yechen looked up at the gray sky and murmured to himself.
A light rain had begun falling the previous night and had yet to stop.
That was why he worried the villagers might not set up their stalls today.
When he reached the food street he often visited, he glanced around. There were fewer stalls than usual, but most were still there.
Clearly, even in the relatively prosperous Konoha, some people still had to work hard to make a living.
He hurried over to a stall, ordered five servings of breakfast, and began digging in.
Compared to the unpalatable Soldier Pills, this ordinary fare truly deserved to be called delicious.
In a little over ten minutes, Yechen ate more than a dozen servings of food, paid, and left under the stall owner's reluctant gaze.
Looking down the lane lined with tempting offerings, Yechen wondered where to eat next.
