As they talked, the group entered the Land of Waves.
Once they entered the Land of Waves, Shisui grew alert. Back in the Land of Fire, even the Demon Brothers' attack had been remarkable enough!
No matter how strong someone was, they would not dare enter the Land of Fire lightly, for fear of being hunted down by Konoha!
Now that they were in the Land of Waves, that concern no longer applied. If any enemies were after Tazuna, they could make their move!
"Stay alert, all of you. We could encounter enemies at any moment!" Shisui warned them, then led the way forward.
Naruto and the other two kept Tazuna protected between them as they followed closely behind Shisui!
They soon traveled several dozen more miles through the Land of Waves, but encountered no enemies!
Just as Naruto and Sasuke began to let their guard down, Hinata noticed something wrong!
"Stop! There's an enemy up ahead!" Hinata shouted.
At Hinata's shout, the group immediately stopped and warily looked ahead!
They stared at the bushes ahead but saw nothing unusual, and were about to turn around to ask Hinata.
Whoosh!
A huge sword flew out of the bushes, slashing toward them!
Though the sword appeared without warning, Shisui reacted even faster!
Clang!
Shisui swiftly drew the sword on his back and struck the incoming blade.
His blow sent the huge sword flying straight back the way it had come, embedding it horizontally in a tree!
Then a man with bandages wrapped around his neck and mouth appeared atop the sword lodged in the tree.
Crouching on the blade, the bandaged man kept his head lowered as he said, "If you know what's good for you, leave this drunk behind and get out of here. Otherwise... huh? Body Flicker Shisui!"
