"Sword technique! Slash!"
Kakashi's seemingly ordinary swing cleaved straight through Kakuzu's imposing attack, leaving a trench dozens of meters deep in the ground before him that stretched all the way behind Kakuzu.
Kakuzu lowered his head and touched the wound on his chest in disbelief. Then his entire body split in two down the middle, the halves collapsing to either side!
The two masks on Kakuzu's shoulders emerged again, only to crumble and fall to the ground!
But Kakashi had exhausted his chakra with that attack. His eyes closed, and he fell backward onto the ground!
Guy had been keeping an eye on the battle. Seeing Kakashi fall, he darted to his side, scooped him up in a bridal carry, and leaped back to Shikamaru!
Shikamaru kept watching Kakuzu's corpse. He couldn't shake the feeling that someone with so many strange abilities shouldn't have died so easily!
But after watching for a long while without seeing any movement from Kakuzu, Shikamaru finally looked away!
Sasuke's battle with Deidara looked more like Sasuke was volunteering to get bombed.
Deidara bombarded Sasuke from the air with everything from Flying Dragons to spider Clay Bombs, as well as C1, C2, and C3!
Bombs kept raining down from above, while Sasuke dodged every which way on the ground. He couldn't reach Deidara in the sky, so all he could do was dodge and wait for an opening!
But getting bombed hadn't been for nothing! At least Sasuke had figured out that Lightning Release countered Deidara's Clay Bombs. Injecting Lightning Release chakra into them would render them inert!
That made Deidara's bombing campaign a little more difficult!
Holding a tachi, Sasuke watched the Flying Bird bombs swoop toward him. Arcs of electricity flickered along his blade as he slashed at them!
