As it happened, the member of the Konoha Military Police Force on gate duty that day was Chihane's old friend, Obito Uchiha.

Uchiha Su also watched the candidates with longing in his eyes. "Yeah, I heard Lord Chihane is leading them this time!"
Then he turned to Obito Uchiha, who was already a Chunin. "I really want to become a Chunin too, just like you, Lord Obito."
Hearing Uchiha Su's answer, Obito couldn't help drifting into his memories. He had once thought exactly the same way.
