The red scar had sparked endless speculation across the Nine Provinces Continent. In just a few short months, even several versions of storybooks about it had appeared.
While the Dao cultivation sects churned like clouds and spun themselves into cocoons over this matter, the demonic cultivation sects were hardly at peace either.
During Su Jiu's unconsciousness and recuperation, the demonic cultivation sects had twice attacked the Yin River Continent and the Shangyin Continent.
Unfortunately for them, with the Ghost Market and Zen Sound Temple holding the fort, the demonic cultivation sects had gained little in either of those chaotic battles.
Then the red scar appeared.
Like the many Dao cultivation sects, the demonic cultivation sects had gathered to discuss the red scar that cut through the Savage Wilderness.
But demonic cultivators were far more wild and unrestrained than Dao cultivators. Few sects took it seriously, and that was why the Savage Wilderness later became the first breach through which the disaster poured.
The demonic cultivators were all but wiped out, their losses too horrific to behold.
Of course, all of that lay in the future.
In the end, Su Jiu set out for the Demon-Subduing Land, leading a great procession.
Besides them, several other sects had also begun sending their own disciples there, one after another, for reasons unknown.
Along the way, they had already encountered at least three groups of familiar faces.
Su Jiu looked at the ever-growing procession behind her, then glanced at Ning Fan.
Ning Fan's hood shifted slightly as he sent Su Jiu a voice transmission. "Many sects on the Nine Provinces Continent have seen the Azure Tide Sect's movements and assumed this red scar is connected to the Demon-Subduing Land. They want to take this opportunity to investigate."
Su Jiu smiled without speaking. Investigate?
