The owner of these two souls was none other than Zheng Qilong, whom Xia Jue was hunting down. But how had his souls ended up here?

The relatively normal-looking Zheng Qilong clearly had not expected anyone else to reach the summit. Once he saw who had come, his still fairly normal face immediately twisted into a hideous grimace, like a vengeful ghost that had crawled out of hell.

"Su Jiu!!!" Zheng Qilong spat her name through gritted teeth, sounding as though he wanted nothing more than to flay her skin and tear apart her bones.

"Why are you here?" His eyes blazed with fury, yet beneath it lurked a trace of something complicated and difficult to fathom.

Su Jiu remained impassive. At some point, the Frostbound Purple Ultimate Sword had coalesced in her palm.

At the sight of the sword in her hand, unmistakable fear flashed through Zheng Qilong's eyes.

Then something seemed to occur to him. He straightened his back, and a measure of arrogance and insolence crept into his expression.

"I wondered why everything went so smoothly for you in the Azure Realm. So we're the same after all. Since you've come back, that means you died in the Azure Realm too, doesn't it?"

Su Jiu's gaze flickered, and she understood at once. Zheng Qilong seemed to have mistaken her for someone like himself. He thought she, too, had transmigrated from this world to the Azure Realm.

Thinking of Bai Su's situation, Su Jiu began to form a few ideas.

"So you died in the Azure Realm too? But why did you return as a soul?" Bai Su had returned directly to her original body. Why had Zheng Qilong been left with nothing but a soul body?

That was what puzzled Su Jiu.

Zheng Qilong curled his lip.
