Revised Timeline
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Qi Induction | 3 5 | Ran Chao teaches her after she saves his life. She achieves induction in three days, leading her to expect exceptional aptitude at the recruitment test. |
| Fourth Qi Refining Layer, implied | 20 25 | Su Jiu, who has reached the fifth layer, describes Bai Su as one layer below herself. Her progress is unusually fast for an Outer Gate disciple with three spiritual roots. |
| Fifth Qi Refining Layer | 38 43 46 47 | Explicitly confirmed before the mountain patrol. Xia Jue observes that her pill-supported cultivation is unstable. At the corresponding point in the original story, she had only reached the third layer. |
| Five Elements Cultivation Method | 54 | Accepts Yi Xiu’s inheritance and a restriction in her sea of consciousness preventing its transmission. Within a month, the recipients report smoother cultivation and stronger spells. No new realm is specified at this point. |
| Eighth Qi Refining Layer | 64 66 80 | Reaches the eighth layer at twenty years old. Remains at this level three years later because constant vigilance against people seeking her treasures leaves little opportunity to cultivate. |
| Foundation Establishment | 410 607 | Explicitly at Foundation Establishment while imprisoned in the Heavenly Devil Palace at thirty-eight, and again when escaping Shui Rao’er’s disciples. The weakening spirit spring, scarce spiritual qi, and surrounding demonic qi hinder her progress. |
| Core Formation, retrospectively reported | 1565 | In a later account, Bai Su says she returned to the Bai Lineage after leaving the Heavenly Dawn Sect and reaching Core Formation to investigate her arrival. The timing of this advancement relative to the earlier Foundation Establishment scenes is not clarified. |
| Complete loss of cultivation | 1564 | Losing all her essence blood reduces her to an ordinary mortal and leaves her body terminally weakened. |
| Mortal in her original world | 1758 1759 | Appears again in her modern world without cultivation. Su Jiu judges her current body’s aptitude poor and the world’s spiritual qi too thin for substantial advancement. |
Original Story
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation Establishment | 25 | The elders and peak masters reject her character following the jade-pendant dispute, leaving her in the Outer Gate. |
| Golden Core | 1 38 | Her final documented realm in the original storybook. The original story shifts away from cultivation toward her romances and ends with her entering seclusion with her lovers. |
Su Jiu later questions the storybook’s completeness, noting that Bai Su had never surpassed the Nascent Soul stage in her previous life and could not plausibly have dominated the Azure Realm’s strongest beings. This establishes an upper limit in that recollection, rather than explicitly documenting a Nascent Soul advancement 1724.
Background / History
Origins
Bai Su has little standing within the Bai Lineage. Her soul comes from another world, and she accidentally binds herself to a rare Mustard Seed Space upon transmigrating. Its resources become the foundation of her extraordinary wealth and repeated opportunities 1 47.
After the Ran Lineage’s massacre, she saves its dying eldest young master, Ran Chao. He teaches her Qi Induction in gratitude and becomes her first romantic partner. Her apparent month-long disappearance attracts local gossip, but her lineage shows little concern 3.
Bai Su later tells Su Jiu that she died in a car accident before transmigrating and felt an external force forcibly draw her soul out of her body. She awakens as a concubine-born Bai daughter. After reaching Core Formation, she investigates her arrival through the Bai Lineage but finds no clues or anyone apparently powerful enough to have arranged it 1565.
Original Story and Su Jiu’s Previous Life
The mysterious book read by Su Jiu identifies Bai Su as its heroine. Male leads repeatedly rescue her from danger, while treasures—including several painstakingly gathered by Su Jiu—reach her through improbable circumstances. She eventually becomes the foremost alchemist among her generation of sect disciples 1.
Bai Su wins the Outer Gate Grand Competition through magical treasures and surprise talisman attacks rather than her own combat strength. Its Spirit-Washing Pill prize benefits her, and the competition subsequently introduces limits on the treasures and talismans contestants may bring 44.
Her dispute with Su Mianmian over a jade pendant damages her reputation among the sect leadership. After she reaches Foundation Establishment, the elders refuse to accept her into the inner ranks. Her lovers retaliate against Su Mianmian: Bai Su releases the pendant’s great demon to attack her, and Gong Hao extracts her Life-Bound Treasure after Bai Su admires her whip, delivering the fatal injury 25.
Gong Hao later kills Su Jiu, and Bai Su collects the Frostlight Sword and flees. The sect leader’s personal disciples uncover her connection to him and issue an arrest warrant. Elsewhere in the original plot, she helps Lu Tianqi bring about Jin Chen’s death after Lu Tianqi massacres the Jin Household. Bai Su ultimately conceals her identity and retreats into a secret realm with her lovers 1 25 37.
In the previous life, Bai Su also discovers and bonds with a Phoenix Egg inside the Azure Tide Sect’s private Secret Realm. Her return with the already-bonded Phoenix attracts both admirers and people seeking to steal it 76.
Su Jiu eventually reveals her previous-life memories to Xia Jue, explaining Bai Su’s desire for her Life-Bound Treasure and Gong Hao’s role in her death. Their discussion raises doubts about whether that life and the storybook were constrained by outside forces, particularly because important sect figures and powerful cultivators were absent from the recorded crises 1440 1724.
Childhood and Life in Her Original World
Su Jiu later witnesses Bai Su’s childhood in her original world. While Bai Su is in middle school, four girls assault her, tear her clothes, and record her after falsely accusing her of attracting a boy’s attention. The incident spreads through the school and leaves a lasting psychological scar. Su Jiu can observe these memories but cannot intervene 1758.
Bai Su’s parents dismiss the abuse as roughhousing, blame her, and refuse both therapy and a school transfer, prioritizing money for her younger brother’s future home. Bai Su responds by spreading news of the incident at her brother’s school; when he demands a transfer, their parents agree. The experience teaches her to use available resources and advantages to obtain what she needs 1758.
She studies intensely, graduates from a prestigious university, and severs contact with her family by transferring her household registration and changing her telephone number. She later finds a decent job but has unsuccessful relationships, partly because she tries to mold her partners into devoted male leads from novels. Work and fiction become the center of her life 1758.
The remembered sequence describes her transmigration as following overwork, whereas her earlier account to Su Jiu identifies a car accident as the immediate cause of death. The passages do not explicitly reconcile these accounts 1565 1758.
Loss of Fortune and Independent Life
After leaving the Azure Tide Sect, Bai Su discovers that the Heavenly Dawn Sect offers little protection against people coveting her possessions. Even elders target her treasures, and Black Stone eventually takes her away without her lovers or followers 80 606.
She later becomes Gong Hao’s prisoner in the Heavenly Devil Palace. Repeated escape attempts fail, and Black Stone no longer awakens. Her reliance on pills and the space’s spirit spring becomes less effective, while the palace’s scarce spiritual qi and abundant demonic qi weaken her 410.
After escaping Gong Hao, she reaches the Shangyin Continent and becomes a maid to a young woman from a collateral branch of the Zhu Household. This comparatively peaceful life prompts her to reconsider her earlier behavior and notice that her memories of her original world, including the bracelet’s origins, are fading unnaturally 598.
Following another imprisonment and her escape with Chen Yan, she travels between continents with him. Their journeys broaden her outlook, and she abandons her former compulsion to possess outstanding men or oppose other women. Healing cultivators find no gu, invading consciousness, or foreign divine soul that could explain her earlier behavior 607 1541.
A Heavenly Secret Sect elder identifies her as a former Child of Destiny whose fortune has been taken by another. Bai Su rejects the idea of a life controlled by heaven’s will and hopes instead to pursue ordinary cultivation, longevity, and a peaceful livelihood 1541.
Final Years in the Azure Realm
A Treasure Map found on a demonic cultivator leads Bai Su and Chen Yan into a trap in the Sea of Ignorance. Bai Su is imprisoned beside the Everlasting Flower within the False Heaven-Connecting Tower in Swallowing Heaven. Her captor intends to use her outsider blood to sever the flower’s link to the Azure Realm and return Swallowing Heaven’s contents there 1541 1542.
By the time she meets Su Jiu again, Bai Su has lost all her essence blood and cultivation. Chen Yan has died beneath heavenly thunder, and Yao Yan is attending to her in impoverished lodgings. She tells Su Jiu about her captor, transmigration, altered bracelet, and suspicions that the Heavenly Dao Consciousness influenced her earlier conduct 1564 1565 1566.
Su Jiu leaves precious pills to prolong her life, but Bai Su dies in the second month after their meeting. Yao Yan buries her. Lu Tianqi and Ran Chao subsequently approach her grave, regret having failed to exploit her status as a Child of Destiny, and dig up her body in search of the bracelet, only to find her wrist bare 1566 1567.
Reappearance in Her Original World
Bai Su later appears in her original world, awakening at her desk after what she calls a vivid dream of her past and the Azure Realm. She recognizes Su Jiu when the latter’s consciousness manifests before her and asks how Su Jiu followed her back. The precise mechanism connecting her Azure Realm death and this reappearance is not established in these passages 1758 1759.
Now a senior executive and shareholder, Bai Su houses and assists Su Jiu, teaches her modern customs, and helps her navigate work, legal agreements, and entertainment-industry expectations. Although she treats her Azure Realm experiences as a distant dream, memories of Chen Yan still cause her pain 1760 1764.
Su Jiu later tells her that the task bringing her to this world is complete and that she will return to the Azure Realm. Bai Su’s chief concern is whether her own world will be safe from further supernatural interference 1801.
Appearance
Bai Su wears white and appears fifteen or sixteen at the recruitment ceremony. Su Jiu describes her as genuinely beautiful, with a fragile appearance that inspires an urge to protect her even in other women 1 5.
- Gentle, charming bearing: Particularly noticeable when she teaches the Outer Gate disciples 5 12.
- Tearful expressions: Frequently accompanies requests, explanations, and disputes 5 13 17 24.
- Emerald Bracelet: Worn on her right wrist; its ordinary appearance attracts little attention 5.
- Graceful movement: At the Enforcement Hall, her figure is compared to a willow in the breeze and her face to the bright moon. Her movements emphasize her delicate beauty 70.
- Decline in captivity: At thirty-eight, her face is sallow and shows signs of aging despite her Foundation Establishment cultivation, owing to the Heavenly Devil Palace’s demonic environment 410.
- Terminal condition: After losing her essence blood, she appears disheveled, coughs heavily, and must pause for breath after speaking only a few sentences 1564.
- Modern-world appearance: Su Jiu considers her prettier than she had been in the Azure Realm; her expressions and behavior are also more animated 1758 1760.
Personality
Bai Su is generous with resources. She distributes pills after social gatherings and lends Spirit-Gathering Pills and spirit stones to disciples such as Mu Zihan and Xia Meng. Her support materially improves their cultivation and purchasing power, helping her build a following of both men and women 19 20 24 25.
Her vulnerable manner can conceal resentment and possessiveness. She refuses to release a jade token already purchased by Su Mianmian because she feels it is important to her, then keeps a pitiful expression while secretly clenching her fists. During Jin Xi’s confrontation with Lu Tianqi, Su Jiu notices resentment and disdain beneath Bai Su’s outward gentleness 24 25 37.
She openly professes love for both Lu Tianqi and Ran Chao and resists losing either relationship. Her growing hostility toward Su Jiu is less explicit: she repeatedly checks Su Jiu’s cultivation and digs her fingers into her palm when she discovers that Su Jiu remains ahead of her 17 19 43.
Bai Su also recognizes practical dangers. She knows excessive pill use can produce advancement-blocking toxins, conceals her gains from the mysterious cavern, and fears that the being in her black stone could expose them both to the sect 19 46 47.
Her pursuit of admiration becomes clearer after Yi Xiu’s trial. She makes veiled remarks about Su Jiu’s failure to obtain the inheritance while presenting herself as sympathetic. Ren Ping understands their friendship as a transaction in which Bai Su supplies pills in exchange for flattery and support against people she dislikes 54.
Her treatment of followers is not uniformly loyal. As her usual mission companions become stronger, she distances herself from Mu Zihan and Xia Meng and refuses their requests to join her team. Later, although she hesitates over abandoning Ran Chao and Lu Tianqi, she ultimately orders Black Stone to take her away alone 64 80.
The loss of the Phoenix exposes her sense of entitlement: she views it as an opportunity that should belong to her and loses her usual gentle composure when Su Mianmian bonds with it first. At the Heavenly Devil Palace, she continues blaming Su Jiu for the destroyed jade token, expulsion, and lost Phoenix 83 147.
Later Self-Reflection
Bai Su’s outlook changes substantially after leaving her former sect relationships and escaping Gong Hao. She recognizes her earlier provocations as foolish, acknowledges the Azure Tide Sect’s leniency, and no longer feels intense hatred merely on hearing Su Jiu’s name 598.
- Describes her earlier conduct as though she were being pulled along by a strange force and believed the whole world should belong to her 598.
- Becomes calmer and more strategic under captivity, preferring to discover her captors’ intentions and seek an escape rather than rage at them 606.
- Stops developing inexplicable romantic claims over talented men and becomes ashamed of her former hostility toward other women 1541.
- Values autonomy over the advantages of being a Child of Destiny, rejecting a life dictated by heaven’s will 1541.
- Later suspects that a voice encouraging her to act as the world’s protagonist was the Heavenly Dao Consciousness; this remains her interpretation of the influence she felt 1566.
- Acknowledges Su Jiu’s magnanimity and regrets letting pride prevent her from fully treasuring Chen Yan, whom she regards as her one true confidant 1566.
Modern-World Outlook
Her childhood abuse and parental favoritism leave her guarded about family ties and inclined to use resources pragmatically. Her earlier dependence on fictional romantic ideals contributes to failed relationships before transmigration 1758 1761.
When assisting Su Jiu in the modern world, she is practical, lively, and protective of ordinary social order. She warns against public displays of cultivation, explains legal restrictions, and worries that an Azure Realm cultivator’s idea of restraint may still be excessive by modern standards 1760 1764.
Abilities & Skills
Mustard Seed Space
Bai Su’s bound space sustains living things and supplies resources far beyond what her family or sect position could explain 1 19 47.
- Can grow spiritual herbs 1 19.
- Contains pills ranging from low to high grade 19.
- Supplies the resources she uses to support followers 5 19 25.
- Is described as a “Ring Space” in Su Jiu’s recollection; acquaintances instead speculate that she possesses an inexhaustible “Treasure Box” 19 38 41.
- Contains a spirit spring used alongside pills to support her cultivation; its effects gradually weaken 410.
- Develops a transparent partition dividing its resources into accessible and inaccessible portions. Supplies subsequently disappear from the inaccessible side, leading Bai Su and Gong Hao to suspect another owner 203.
- Is bound to her divine soul by a contract she says she cannot dissolve. She also claims that the bracelet will disappear if she dies 607.
- Cannot be opened while she is restrained by a Spirit-Locking Chain; access returns after the chain is removed 607.
- Eventually becomes inaccessible to her. Bai Su reports that its ownership appears to have passed to a male demonic cultivator, while Su Jiu recognizes a connection between the space, Bai Su’s fortune, and her life 1566.
Cultivation
Her three spiritual roots are less exceptional than she expects from achieving Qi Induction in three days 5.
- Uses cultivation-enhancing pills to accelerate her progress 19 38.
- Avoids taking them indiscriminately because accumulated pill toxins can clog meridians and prevent further advancement 19.
- Nevertheless displays unstable, pill-supported cultivation by the fifth Qi Refining layer 47.
- Learns the Five Elements Cultivation Method from Yi Xiu and accepts an anti-transmission restriction in her sea of consciousness. The method improves cultivation flow and spell power among its recipients 54.
- Is recorded as skilled in wood-element techniques in the Outer Gate’s tournament handbook 66.
- Ultimately needs practical tempering like an ordinary cultivator when her pills and spirit spring cease providing sufficient advancement 410.
- Loses all cultivation after the loss of her essence blood 1564.
Su Jiu regards the inheritance restriction as dangerous because its detonation could destroy the recipient’s mental faculties. Bai Su’s acceptance of it is therefore a liability as well as a condition of obtaining the method 54.
Alchemy
Her alchemical accomplishments differ sharply between the two timelines 1 47.
- Previous life: Recognized as the foremost alchemist among disciples of her generation 1.
- Early revised timeline: Still learning pill refining; Hong Ling’s investigation finds that she has not successfully refined a single batch 47.
- Has abundant aged spiritual herbs despite her initial lack of successful production 47.
- Later Outer Gate reputation: Her companions praise her improving pill-refining skills and call her the Outer Gate’s best pill refiner. A tournament handbook lists her as an alchemist, though these accounts do not establish the precise point of her first successful batch 54 66.
- Supplies Lifespan Pills during negotiations with Shui Rao’er’s disciples; the passages do not specify that she personally refined them 607.
- By her capture in Swallowing Heaven, has gained experience in pill refining and studied spirit-plant texts, but cannot identify or manipulate the Everlasting Flower 1541.
Teaching
Bai Su can explain Qi Induction more clearly than the lecturer she challenges 12.
- Takes over the lesson after being invited to teach.
- Helps numerous students understand induction.
- Wins admiration among the Outer Gate disciples, including Xia Meng 12.
Treasure-Assisted Combat
Her demonstrated combat effectiveness relies heavily on equipment 13 44.
- Uses a folding fan to throw multiple attackers into the dining-hall wall 13.
- Wins the original Outer Gate Grand Competition through magical treasures and talismans that surprise her opponents 44.
- Prefers ribbons, occasionally uses a sword, and carries numerous magical treasures and talismans 66.
- In the revised tournament, combines graceful ribbon attacks with additional treasures and rapidly replenishes her spiritual power through high-quality pills 71.
- Activates a Ten-Thousand-Mile Divine Movement Talisman while bringing Chen Yan with her, but her Foundation Establishment cultivation cannot sustain its demand without overdrawing spiritual qi and damaging her internal organs 607.
Extraordinary Fortune
Su Jiu’s master describes Bai Su’s fortune as befitting a child of destiny. The original story repeatedly grants her opportunities and assistance from male leads 1.
- Gains treasures through improbable circumstances, including treasures originally belonging to Su Jiu 1.
- Receives another opportunity inside the Stone Forest Peak cavern in the revised timeline 46 47.
- Su Jiu suspects this encounter compensates for the destroyed jade pendant, but that explanation remains her interpretation 46.
- Loses opportunities previously associated with her, most notably the Phoenix that bonds with Su Mianmian in the revised timeline 76 83.
- Feels her good fortune diminish and suspects someone is taking it, though she does not believe Su Jiu is necessarily that person 203.
- Is identified by a Heavenly Secret Sect elder as a former Child of Destiny whose fortune another has seized 1541.
- Su Jiu recalls Yun Huanling’s explanation that two Children of Destiny’s Fate Stars compete over fortune, and considers Bai Su to have lost that struggle 1566.
Dao Lord Zhi Yue later reveals that Li cultivated Bai Su and Zheng Qilong as catalysts, placing Bai Su’s apparent destiny within a larger scheme rather than merely a sequence of fortunate encounters 1910.
Outsider Blood
As a transmigrator, Bai Su possesses blood her captor claims can circumvent the Azure Realm’s rules because she was not originally bound to that world. He intends to use it against the Everlasting Flower, which links Swallowing Heaven to the Azure Realm 1541 1542.
- The captor states that willingness is an additional condition and threatens Chen Yan to compel her cooperation 1542.
- Requires the participation of the controlled merfolk cultivator Jiao Yue 1542.
- The eventual loss of all Bai Su’s essence blood destroys her cultivation and leaves her body near death 1564.
Modern Knowledge and Professional Skills
In her original world, Bai Su is a senior executive and company shareholder. She understands workplace politics, legal agreements, audience expectations, and entertainment-industry customs 1760 1764.
- Provides Su Jiu with suitable clothing, adjusts a mask for her, and arranges a temporary company pass 1758 1760.
- Explains how legally binding agreements differ from Heavenly Dao contracts 1764.
- Coaches Su Jiu before a livestreamed variety show 1764.
- Investigates the bookstore where Su Jiu senses The Biography of Qin Ming, determining that the book is absent from the recording and the store has no name 1772.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Emerald Bracelet / Spatial Jade Bracelet — Unassuming bracelet on her right wrist, associated with the pills she later uses to attract lovers and followers. Houses her Mustard Seed Space, is bound to her divine soul, and eventually becomes inaccessible; it is absent from her corpse when Lu Tianqi and Ran Chao search for it 5 75 203 607 1566 1567.
- Folding fan — Magical treasure that repels the dining-hall attackers. Bai Su says a companion gave her both the fan and her pills 13.
- Ribbons — Her preferred combat weapons, used with graceful movements and supplementary magical treasures 66 71.
- Spirit Sword — Drawn when confronting Su Jiu over the Phoenix; she also uses a sword to fly while examining the Everlasting Flower 83 1541.
- Jade pendant/token — Contains a great demon with at least Nascent Soul cultivation in the original story. Su Jiu destroys it in the revised timeline before Bai Su can retain it 24 25.
- Black stone — Coal-like, irregular stone containing a powerful being with a young woman’s voice at their early meeting. Bai Su receives magical artifacts and treasure artifacts in exchange for agreeing to help it obtain freedom. It later transports her away from the Heavenly Dawn Sect, but ceases awakening during her imprisonment under Gong Hao 47 80 410.
- Divine-sense-blocking formation — Used during her private conversation with the stone’s inhabitant; only blocks the divine sense of Qi Refining disciples 47.
- Storage bag — Holds the black stone after their confrontation 47.
- Frostlight Sword — Collected after Gong Hao kills Su Jiu in the previous life 1.
- Spirit spring — Resource within her space used to support cultivation; its effects weaken as her circumstances deteriorate 410.
- Longevity Fruit — A fruit given to Lu Tianqi. Knowledge of its source helps motivate Shui Rao’er’s disciples to seek Bai Su’s resources 598.
- Lifespan Pills — Bargaining resources used when Shui Rao’er’s disciples imprison her 607.
- Ten-Thousand-Mile Divine Movement Talisman — Golden escape talisman that transports her and Chen Yan away from captivity at the cost of severe internal injuries 607.
- Treasure Map — Found on a demonic cultivator and followed with Chen Yan to the Sea of Ignorance; proves to be bait for their capture 1541.
Relationships
- Ran Chao — First lover and cultivation instructor. She saves him after his lineage’s massacre and later refuses to let him leave when her relationship with Lu Tianqi causes conflict. He follows her out of the Azure Tide Sect, but she later leaves him behind when Black Stone offers escape for her alone. After her death, he and Lu Tianqi seek her bracelet rather than simply mourn her 3 17 19 75 80 1566 1567.
- Lu Tianqi — Lover who rescues her from the dining-hall confrontation. His attempt to defend her before Luo Cang costs him his True Disciple status in the revised timeline. He follows her to the Heavenly Dawn Sect and receives a Longevity Fruit from her. After her death, he regrets failing to make use of her destiny and helps exhume her in search of the bracelet 15 75 598 1566 1567.
- Gong Hao — Lover and young master of the Heavenly Devil Palace. In the original story, he kills Azure Tide Sect disciples and plunders their Life-Bound Treasures for her. In the revised timeline, he becomes her jailer, preventing her release without his orders. His later recollection confirms that Bai Su’s request initially led him to target Su Jiu 1 25 410 501.
- Su Jiu — Fellow disciple and eventual adversary. Su Jiu initially avoids her, but destroying the jade pendant draws Bai Su’s attention and growing hostility. Their conflict culminates in Bai Su’s departure from the sect and retaliation against the Su Family. Bai Su eventually relinquishes her hatred, shares information with Su Jiu before dying, and acknowledges her generosity. In the modern world, she becomes Su Jiu’s host and guide 1 19 25 43 75 88 598 1564 1566 1758 1764.
- Su Mianmian — Rival in the jade-pendant dispute. Bai Su participates in the attack that leads to her death in the original story; Su Jiu intervenes to prevent that outcome in the revised timeline. Su Mianmian also bonds with the Phoenix before Bai Su can claim it 24 25 83.
- Mu Zihan and Xia Meng — Beneficiaries of her generosity. Their loans and gifts make them reluctant to take sides against her. Bai Su later distances herself from them and declines their requests to accompany her on missions 19 24 25 64.
- Jin Xi — Lu Tianqi’s fiancée, whose confrontation prompts Bai Su to demand an explanation from him 37.
- Jin Chen — Victim of Bai Su and Lu Tianqi’s actions in the original story; she helps Lu Tianqi cause his death in a secret realm 37.
- Hong Ling — Investigates Bai Su’s wealth and alchemical activity, then seeks to question her about the cavern. Later burns away one of Ran Chao’s hands when he attacks Su Mianmian during Bai Su’s group’s departure 47 75.
- Ning Hai — Prevents forced questioning about her opportunity, but orders secret surveillance to protect fellow disciples 47.
- Black stone’s inhabitant / Black Stone — Bargaining partner who demands that Bai Su honor their agreement. It promises not to harm Azure Tide Sect disciples and accepts her request not to interrupt cultivation through her sea of consciousness. Later takes her away alone and brings her into the Azure Tide Sect’s Secret Realm. It becomes unresponsive during her captivity under Gong Hao 47 80 83 410.
- Yi Xiu — Gives Bai Su the Five Elements Cultivation Method after she finishes the inheritance trial first, on condition that she accept a restriction preventing its transmission 54.
- Ren Ping — Follower who trades flattery and verbal support for pills. After discovering Su Jiu’s rapid advancement, she concludes that provoking Su Jiu is not worth the benefits of remaining Bai Su’s ally 54.
- Luo Xi — Companion whom Bai Su defends after he tortures an Outer Gate disciple to death during the tournament. He leaves the Azure Tide Sect with her group 70 75.
- Xia Jue — Handles Luo Xi’s case despite Bai Su’s intervention and has no goodwill toward her at that stage. Much later, Su Jiu explains to him how Bai Su and Gong Hao were involved in her previous-life death and the sect’s decline 70 1440.
- Yi Feng Chen — Visits her during imprisonment at the Heavenly Devil Palace, mocks her decline, and threatens her by the throat when she teases him about his feelings toward the woman he was sent to capture 410.
