Ever since Su Jiu touched that sword, she had stood motionless, as though rooted to the spot.
Chu Luohen was the first to notice something was wrong with Su Jiu.
"I'll go take a look." He had no idea what was happening to Su Jiu, and the Other Shore had offered no explanation to anyone either. He immediately used Sword Control to fly toward her.
Unlike Su Jiu, however, the instant he set foot on the formation's boundary, a Barrier suddenly rose from within and hurled him back.
A murky gray mist rippled over the Barrier, making it look completely different from before.
Chu Luohen could sense that the gray mist and the aura emanating from the Demonic Sword shared the same source. In other words, it was actually the Demonic Sword keeping him from approaching.
Feng Qi and the others naturally noticed the disturbance as well and gathered around almost simultaneously.
"What happened?"
Chu Luohen's expression was cold enough to freeze into ice. "A Jiu is trapped in here."
"I'll find a way to deal with this. Go find the other special formations first."
No one present was a fool, and they naturally understood what Chu Luohen meant by special formations.
Ning Fan's Hood shifted slightly. "By special formations, do you mean the ones with Demonic Swords embedded in them?"
Chu Luohen nodded.
"But what can we do even if we find them? Even A Jiu fell into the trap. I doubt we'd fare any better..." After weighing it over and over, Feng Qi finally voiced his thoughts.
"I'm not asking you to pull out the swords. I'm asking you to find the mastermind's hideout."
Understanding dawned on Feng Qi. "You mean the mastermind's hideout might be near one of those special formations?"
"Not might. It definitely is."
