Along the way, Lan Fang Ziyi had repeatedly wanted to ask Su Jiu to stop, but whenever he remembered that he was the Heavenly Secret Sect's chief Senior Disciple, he forcibly suppressed the thought. After all, he was not Yun Huanling. He had his dignity to preserve.

Su Jiu moved at a blistering pace, while Lan Fang Ziyi followed behind, exhausted as a dog.

Fortunately, they were not far from their destination. Just when Lan Fang Ziyi thought he was certain to fall behind Su Jiu, the winding mountain path took a welcome turn: they were already nearing their destination.

Upon reaching a relatively safe boundary, Su Jiu abruptly stopped.

Caught off guard by her sudden movement, Lan Fang Ziyi nearly pitched forward.

He looked at Su Jiu ahead of him, still utterly oblivious, and felt something lodge in his throat. Were all Azure Tide Sect disciples this willful? Did they never warn their companions before doing anything? She simply stopped whenever she pleased.

At that moment, Su Jiu was wholly focused on the few people pacing back and forth a short distance ahead, completely unaware that Lan Fang Ziyi looked as though he had swallowed a mouthful of shit.

Then there was the speed at which Su Jiu had darted between the buildings, which had made Lan Fang Ziyi question his entire existence. Was that a speed any normal Nascent Soul Realm cultivator should possess?

Most importantly, despite flying so fast, she had not shown the slightest sign of unsteady breathing. He grimaced as though his teeth ached, feeling that ever since meeting Su Jiu, his entire outlook on life had been continually turned upside down.

"Breathe more quietly. Try to suppress your presence as much as possible," Su Jiu reminded him when she noticed his somewhat heavy breathing.
