Seen from outside, Fish-Man Island looked like a glass sphere enclosed in an enormous transparent bubble.
It was breathtakingly beautiful, multicolored lights shimmering in the deep sea while schools of glowing fish darted around its outskirts like shooting stars.
Lipo pressed herself against the edge of the bubble, her pink eyes reflecting the dreamlike scenery and her rabbit ears twitching with excitement.
"Gern! Tesoro! Look! There are glowing seahorses over there!"
"So this is Fish-Man Island..." Tesoro was awestruck by the sight too, his hands unconsciously tightening around the Ship's Wheel.
"Incredible... Who knew there could be scenery like this in the deep sea?"
But just as the three of them were absorbed in this underwater wonder, something suddenly changed!
The steady ocean current abruptly churned violently, and a powerful undercurrent struck from the side.
The warship lurched, sending objects sliding through the cabin with a clattering crash.
"What's happening?!" Tesoro's expression changed. He gripped the Ship's Wheel with both hands, trying to steady the ship.
But the current was far more violent than he had imagined. Like a leaf in a storm, the warship was swept into the chaotic waters.
"Tesoro, switch to manual steering!" Gern's voice remained calm amid the violent rocking.
He strode over to Tesoro, pressing one hand against the Ship's Wheel and using the other to steady the swaying Lipo.
"It's no use! The current's too strong!" Tesoro said through gritted teeth, cold sweat beading on his forehead.
His sailing experience was limited, after all, leaving him somewhat helpless in the face of this sudden crisis.
The warship spun wildly in the current, its coating bubble creaking under the strain as though it might burst at any moment.
