The White Gull drifted across the White-White Sea for several hours. All around them, there was nothing but an endless Cloud Sea and the occasional Sky Fish darting past.
Lipo leaned over the railing, idly poking the clouds with a carrot. "Gern, are we lost?"
"Sky Island is bigger than I expected." Gern stood at the bow, scanning the distance.
"If I remember correctly, Angel Island should be floating somewhere on the White-White Sea!"
(The White Sea was at an altitude of 7,000 meters, while the islands of Sky Island lay on the White-White Sea, above 10,000 meters.)
"Vice Admiral Gern." Tesoro adjusted the Log Pose and frowned. "The magnetic fields here are a mess. The needle won't stop spinning. It's completely useless."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." The Snake Princess lounged lazily in a deck chair, smoothing her wind-tousled hair as she glanced at Gern.
"If this place is as big as the ocean, we'll have quite a search ahead of us."
Gern was about to reply to the Snake Princess when his Observation Haki suddenly picked up something. He raised a hand, signaling everyone to be quiet.
"I hear something."
Everyone held their breath and listened. Soon, a faint engine rumble reached them from the distance.
Splash! The Cloud Sea suddenly parted, and an oddly shaped Waver surged up from below, coming to a steady hover in front of the White Gull.
Its driver was a young man from Sky Island, wearing goggles and sporting a pair of small, pure-white wings on his back. Holding a spear fitted with a Flame Dial, he eyed them warily.
"Blue Sea People entering illegally?!" he exclaimed. "How did you get through the White Sea?!"
Before Gern could answer, the surrounding clouds churned in succession. Three more Wavers burst out of the clouds, surrounding
