Kirigakure's current strength was downright bizarre. Never mind deploying the Uchiha-if war really broke out, they probably wouldn't even need to mobilize a large force. The Third Hokage's Rising Star Plan would come in handy right about now.
Pick any one of the candidates for Fifth Hokage and give them their corresponding support team. Then pick a few candidates for Sixth Hokage with their own teams, send out a few candidates for Seventh Hokage, and throw in a pile of rank-and-file troops. That would be enough.
Even against Kirigakure, one of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, that would be using an ox-cleaving blade to slaughter a chicken.
But that still didn't justify Naruto and Sasuke pulling this stunt!
"Kakashi-sensei, relax. This was a perfect infiltration.
"It's all part of the plan."
With a dry chuckle, Sasuke patted Kakashi, his eyes shining.
Kakashi merely rolled his dead-fish eyes again. That wasn't what Sasuke had told him when he passed along the intel on Thundercloud. He'd only said they were going to try to uncover the Mysterious Man's true identity. How had it turned into this?
"Where's the Mysterious Man?" After looking around and failing to spot the figure he wanted to see, Kakashi cast the two of them a sidelong glance.
"Ahem, he got away." Naruto cleared his throat and answered, while furiously pointing at Sasuke on the sly to indicate that this guy was entirely to blame.
"He got away? You two caused this huge commotion and practically chopped the Mizukage's whole head off, and now you're telling me the Mysterious Man got away? Didn't you get a good look at his face?"
Kakashi's eyes widened, full of suspicion. If these two freaks went all out, he didn't think even he could survive. But remembering that this was the culprit
