The buildings here were vastly different from what he had seen before the Dragon Vein swept him away. He could only make out faint traces of resemblance.
Though he had no idea what was going on, he was certain this was not Rōran from a mere decade or so ago.
Even a hundred years was too short. It might have been much further back.
He could glean that much from the architectural style and the appearance of the people around him.

Just then, a figure with long, straight black hair and a red-haired woman walked down the street nearby. Judging by their clothes, one seemed to belong to the Queen of Roran's lineage, with spiral patterns decorating her outfit. The other wore the Senju Clan's formal attire-the same set Hashirama had worn when he allied with Madara, with only minor differences. Looking closely, it seemed somewhat older.

He had seen clan crests like this before. When he had browsed old texts with Itachi, the Uchiha Clan had also had several variants. The orthodox one was a table tennis paddle, while the variants included tennis rackets and badminton rackets.
Though their appearances differed, the underlying logic was the same. It meant this branch was a lesser lineage-a collateral branch that had split from the main clan for one reason or another.
