The cave was long and narrow. Tiny fragments of ore around them reflected a faint light, leaving visibility low.
Wind blew in through the pitch-black entrance, carrying a sound like the breathing of some enormous monster.
Orpheus braced himself against the wall and stood. "Of course I'll go, but you must come with me."
His arrogance was utterly obnoxious. Not a single player there wanted to acknowledge him.
So he kept talking anyway. "I am a genius musician revered throughout the city. As long as you protect me and bring me back safely, I will reward you with money or power!"
Ding Ning scoffed. "Who cares? It's not like we can spend our whole lives in this instance."
