No. 028's room was as dark as ever.
Yin Chao sat obediently on the windowsill out in the corridor, swinging his feet, looking innocent and carefree.
He heard harsh, rasping breaths from inside-No. 028's warning to the intruder.
A short while later, about the time it took Yin Chao to count to ten on his fingers, there was a loud bang.
No. 028 was thrown out.
He scrambled up, crouching on all fours as he warily watched No. 002 in front of him.
Yin Chao turned his head and, in a blind spot the cameras couldn't see, smiled and softly told No. 002, "Kill him."
The two people in the surveillance room didn't see Yin Chao speak. They only saw No. 002 walk toward No. 028.
He roughly grabbed No. 028's black, matted hair, forcing him to meet his eyes.
Xia Yu still remembered how it had felt to look No. 028 in the eye.
That fear had almost taken physical form, suffocating her as though she were drowning.
But No. 002 seemed unable to feel it. He faced those pitch-black eyes without any reaction.
He even raised a hand and punched that face.
Then came punch after punch, each delivered with all his strength, each meant to kill.
Xia Yu and Wang Ke could tell that No. 002 wanted to kill No. 028.
The two in the surveillance room went cold all over as they watched inhuman strength pound No. 028's head into a puddle of pulp, leaving a sizable crater even in the floor beneath him.
Only when there was no trace of life left did No. 002 stop.
He had used his left hand to deliver every blow. With his clean right hand, he picked up No. 001 again.
