Bo Yi took a few steps back and leaned against the wall, watching the three NPCs before him.
Had he faced these three NPCs in another Instance, he would have been perfectly confident. Even if he couldn't deal with all three, escaping unscathed would at least have been easy.
But now... his body had grown weak for reasons unknown, and what should have been a sure thing suddenly seemed uncertain.
As the "encirclement" closed in, Bo Yi kept scanning the ward. He wanted to find something that could draw the NPCs away, then rush out while they were distracted. Although the corridor outside was pitch-black too and looked... not much better than the ward, at least it offered more space to maneuver and dodge.
So what could attract the NPCs' attention? At the very least, it had to appeal to them more than he, Bo Yi himself, did...
A sinister draft from somewhere slipped beneath the ward door and drifted into the room. The icy air brushed the wound on Bo Yi's arm, bringing a faint sting. He glanced down casually, then raised his eyes without much concern and continued searching the room.
But after only a couple of glances, he suddenly murmured, "Huh?"
