Every player was very familiar with the object in Bo Yi's hand.
After all, Miss Nina had given each of them one when they first entered the Instance. Though, after receiving their keys, they seemed to have barely used them...
Huh, wait...
Then that meant... The players slapped their thighs as realization suddenly struck them-
Exactly! If these keys were useless, why would the NPC go to the trouble of handing them out? Surely it wasn't just to give them a sense of ceremony when checking in...
So-
"Are you saying..." The players stared at the silver key, their voices filled with disbelief. "This is the key that opens the main entrance?"
That had to be some kind of joke! If it was true, this Instance was far too "sneaky"-it had actually put the keys to clearing it right into the players' hands! How was that any different from an open-book exam?
"But that doesn't add up..." Shen Jiayue stared at the key for a few seconds. "I remember... the key that NPC used to open the door didn't look like this..." She had watched Miss Nina's movements closely when she opened the door earlier. If the keys Miss Nina handed out were the keys to that door, Shen Jiayue would have recognized hers the moment she received it.
Reminded by Shen Jiayue, the other players caught on too, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I don't think it looked like this..."
Bo Yi said nothing. He simply slipped his room key onto the key ring. It slid on easily, as though the two had always belonged together.
But... once the key was on the ring, the change Bo Yi had anticipated didn't occur.
Strange... Had he guessed wrong? He went over his reasoning again, but ultimately reached exactly the same conclusion
