Nothing else happened that night.
It was not until the next morning, when a knock sounded at the door, that Lin Yi slowly opened his eyes.

The waiter delivering their food stood outside, wearing his trademark smile.

The words were familiar.
This time, however, it was breakfast.

Lin Yi took his portion and smiled. "Thank you."
This time, the waiter responded, nodding in a very human manner. "It is my duty to serve you. Enjoy your meal!"
With that, he turned toward Zhou Ke.
Zhou Ke kept feeling that this waiter was a powerful Aberration Creature. After taking her breakfast, she immediately turned and left.
Once he had delivered breakfast, the waiter pushed his food cart toward the next room.
The bloodstains were still in the corridor, as were the remains of the Aberration Couple. The three people bound with ropes and suspended in midair on the other side had not disappeared either.
Yet the waiter walked toward the next room as though he could not see any of it.
After a glance, Lin Yi carried his breakfast back into the room to eat.
"Quite a few people probably died last night. Some people might gather downstairs to ask what happened, and your captain might be there too. Are you going down?"
