Background

Before the apocalypse, Lin Yi worked as a corporate employee. He was traveling in the south when the disaster began and joined others fleeing the region. He drove a pickup from the coast and witnessed numerous deaths during roughly a month of migration 1 2 47.

His family’s home is in Gansu Province. Despite his outward focus on immediate survival, he desperately wants to return and discover whether his family is safe, though he considers their chances increasingly slim 42.
