With Milhouse's help, Rhode completed the initial upgrade to Hearthstone in very little time.
Why only an initial upgrade? Because this didn't involve the expanded game content Rhode had just described. It only improved the visual presentation.
When Rhode played a "Fireball" card, it finally stopped being a stiff paper card flying across the board and transformed into a real ball of fire!
Although Rhode and Milhouse had already imagined this change, they were still thrilled by it. The visual improvement was tremendous!
Graphics and special effects weren't something to underestimate. They gave players an immersive experience, and often served as the first step toward getting them hooked.
"The graphics are finally animated!" Rhode said happily. "Mr. Milhouse, once you bring your painter friend here, we can finish all the artwork."
Milhouse nodded. "Exactly. Without portraits to represent the heroes or pictures to represent the cards, it's just too ugly! Don't worry. Miss Rivelle is the best painter I've ever met. She'll definitely produce artwork you'll be happy with!"
Oh, so the painter was a woman named Rivelle.
"What has she painted before?" Rhode asked.
Rhode still wanted to make sure.
After all, gnomish tastes sometimes didn't quite align with those of ordinary humans...
What if this painter he mentioned could only paint things like chicks pecking at rice?
"She's painted plenty of things. She often paints for nobles!" Milhouse thumped his chest confidently. "Just a little while ago, Rivelle even painted a family portrait for a Paladin of the Silver Hand!"
"A Paladin of the Silver Hand? A family portrait?" Those words immediately reminded Rhode of a painting.
It was probably the most famous painting in World of Warcraft.
Rhode continued, "Was this Paladin of the Silver Hand you mentioned Tirion Fordring?"
"I think so... Do you know him?"
