"I heard Headmaster Rhode is going to teach us himself today!" Lucy told Jack with an air of mystery.
Jack asked in confusion, "Headmaster Rhode? He's the strongest mage. Shouldn't he only teach the Advanced Apprentice Class?"
"I don't know either. I just heard it from the class monitor." Lucy shook her head.
Meanwhile, all the other apprentices in the Junior Apprentice Class were excitedly discussing it as well.
Most of the students in the Junior Apprentice Class were young, essentially children of fifteen or sixteen. Even the oldest was no more than twenty, and none had ever attended Rhode's lessons.
Headmaster Rhode was always busy. Even in the Advanced Apprentice Class, he rarely taught in person. Most of the time, their lessons were taught by Audric or Millhouse Manastorm.
As for their Beginner Apprentice Class, sometimes they only had trainee teachers-junior or intermediate mages-filling in.
Ring, ring-
The bell rang, and the apprentices abruptly fell silent.
Darrow Hill Technical School now operated much like the elementary and secondary schools in Rhode's previous life, with lessons strictly following the bells.
After a moment of silence, Jack's and Lucy's eyes suddenly widened as they saw Rhode walk in wearing a blue mage robe, with several books tucked under his arm.
"It's true. It really is Headmaster Rhode!" they blurted out, their faces filled with delighted surprise.
The other apprentices reacted much the same way. Many broke into broad grins, unable to believe it was real.
Word of the extraordinary results of Rhode's teaching had long since spread throughout the magic academy.
Whether they were magic apprentices who had come from the Magic Tower at Durnholde Keep or new students at Darrow Hill Technical School lucky enough to attend his lessons, they all praised Rhode's
