"Th-this... how is this possible!"

Rivendare cried out, unable to maintain his composure any longer.

His body rose like a dark cloud, and he struck out repeatedly with both palms before finally dispersing the mass of dark energy hurtling toward him.

Before he could catch his breath, a blue-white fist smashed out of the dark mist.

Thud!

The fist first struck the armor covering Rivendare's body.

The armor itself was nothing special, merely ordinary metal. But after being reinforced by the Death Knight, it had become as hard as a protective shield.

Yet even so, it could not withstand Rhode's punch. The blow blasted it apart, splitting it open.

Rivendare hurriedly retreated to dissipate the force of the mage's fist.

But no matter how quickly he retreated, he was still slower than that blue-white fist.

Wham!

Before everyone's disbelieving eyes, the blue-white fist slammed squarely into Rivendare's face.

Like a football being kicked away, Rivendare flew sideways, crashed through the wall, and landed outside the courtyard.

Dead silence fell over the scene.

Anastari looked somewhat at a loss.

She and Rivendare had paid such a price, yet they were still no match for this young mage. She had never anticipated this.

Norn's eyes practically bulged out of his head. He could not believe what he was seeing.

Although he had thought Rhode was a fairly decent mage, he had never imagined that a Death Knight like Rivendare, who could defeat Lilia, would also crumble before Rhode.

Was there really such a powerful young mage in this world? Someone barely in his twenties?

No... surely not? A thought suddenly struck Norn. Could he be Mage R-Rhode?

But he immediately shook his head, rejecting the idea. Impossible. Why would a distinguished Archmage come all this way to freeload a meal?

Only Lilia
