Rhode rose early that day.
Barring any surprises, the fleet would reach the Borean Tundra on Northrend's southwestern tip that day.
Both the scouts' reports and Rhode's own knowledge pointed to two ideal landing sites in Northrend: the Borean Tundra in the southwest and Howling Fjord in the southeast.
Both had several fine deepwater harbors capable of accommodating a large fleet. With a little renovation, they could serve as military bases for the coalition's advance on Icecrown Glacier.
Rhode had chosen the Borean Tundra for a simple reason-the journey to Icecrown Glacier was shorter from there than from Howling Fjord.
If they landed in Howling Fjord, they would have to head north through Grizzly Hills and Zul'Drak, then turn west into Crystalsong Forest before reaching Icecrown Glacier.
Along the way, they might also encounter lurking enemies, such as the Vrykul of Howling Fjord and the ice trolls of Zul'Drak.
Landing in the Borean Tundra, however, meant they only needed to travel east to Dragonblight, then head north into Crystalsong Forest.
They would certainly encounter enemies, but those enemies should be a little more "straightforward"-most likely all Scourge.
They might even find allies along that route, such as the Dragon Aspects of Wyrmrest Temple and their armies.
Of course, that could wait. For now, they had to rely on their own strength to establish a fortress in the Borean Tundra, a base from which they could launch an offensive against Icecrown Glacier.
He had already settled on its name-Valiance Keep!
The fleet had departed from Southshore's harbor, and naturally, its ships had been supplied by the masters of the seas, the people of Kul Tiras.
There were six ships in the fleet, one for each of the six armies from different regions.
Although the voyage had lasted over a month and
