"I think I got the order backward." Rhode stood up and lightly patted Katel on the shoulder. "Go tell them about learning magic first. Anyone selected to become a magic apprentice shouldn't join the Musket Corps. I'll be waiting for your good news at the Magic Tower."

"Yes, boss!" Katel saluted Rhode.

The change in how Katel addressed him caught Rhode off guard, but he soon smiled and walked out.

The construction site was still bustling, with plenty of Mage Hands floating in midair, but there was something new now too-arcane golems.

After developing Combat Arcane Golem, Rhode had quickly taught the spell to the magic apprentices.

Although it was a little more complicated than Mage Hand, some of the smarter, more talented apprentices had already mastered the basics and could summon them.

For now, however, the golems could only wander aimlessly after their masters and weren't actually much help.

After all, getting them to fight properly would take more time and study.

At present, the main reason these magic apprentices summoned them was-to show off.

That's right, I can do it, and you can't yet! I'm just happy about it, haha!

That was only natural.

But there were still too few magic apprentices.

Even if every one of them learned Combat Arcane Golem, they still wouldn't amount to a truly effective fighting force.

Rhode looked around as he walked, and then he spotted Sally.
