Over the past two days, Rhode had suddenly started feeling a little "lonely."

The two girls who served as his "assistants" were spending less time at his side.

Sally was learning priest skills from Brother Joshua, and in her spare time, she also had to teach the newly arrived magic apprentices to read.

Seeing how much busier she had become lately, Rhode told her to leave the daily affairs aside for now. She no longer needed to prepare his meals, either.

Well, munching on some Alterac cheese every day and drinking strawberry juice or fruit wine was pretty nice, anyway.

And if that wasn't enough, he could cook a few simple dishes himself. It wouldn't take much time.

Lilia, meanwhile, was taken to the lord's castle during the day to learn warrior skills from Thrall.

Rhode discovered that Blackmoore was keeping Thrall under very strict watch now. When he brought Lilia over, he had no opportunity to speak with Thrall alone.

He could only hand Lilia over to the guards from a distance, and they would then take her to Thrall.

Having Lilia pass along a message wasn't a very workable strategy, either.

Lilia probably wouldn't understand what Rhode wanted to tell Thrall, and Thrall might not believe it. If anything went wrong, earning Thrall's trust afterward would be difficult.

It seemed he would have to wait a while and see whether they lowered their guard.

Still, he had gained something.

Thrall was, after all, a genuinely skilled warrior.

With an expert like that teaching her, Lilia was making clear progress, too.

Sure enough, when Lilia returned that evening, she immediately began chattering away to Rhode:

"Look! It turns out Charge can be even faster!"

"Thrall taught me a new skill today. This move makes things really hard for enemies
