"All right, let's go get your fourth Soul Ring now." Li Chen rose and led Wine Fox deeper into the canyon.

They soon reached the fork where they had killed the reeds last time. This time, they took the other direction. There were no further forks along this path, and it appeared to lead straight to the area shrouded in thunderclouds year-round.

He could roughly guess what lay there: a Thunderclap Hellvine, a plant Soul Beast that grew by absorbing heavenly lightning. Since its attributes did not suit them, it was not under consideration for now.

Once they confirmed there were no other paths, they could only retrace their steps and take the route they had followed last time. The Soul Beasts here seemed to have already divided up their territories; only a handful of thousand-year Soul Beasts could be found in any one area.

After they traveled a while longer, an eagle-type Soul Beast launched an attack on them.

Li Chen did not rush to weaken it with Zeroing and kill it instantly. Instead, he activated his newly acquired Soul Skill to test its effect.

Even knowing that "Resistance level 32" provided 640% damage reduction, along with the 80% damage reduction from a full set of netherite armor, he still felt a little afraid as the Soul Beast hurtled toward him.

The eagle soon extended its sharp talons to claw at him. His netherite armor materialized, and aside from being driven back two steps by the impact, he remained completely unscathed.

The Witch looked like a woman of around thirty, wearing a purple robe with an enormous witch's hat on her head.

"Lord Creator God." The Witch looked at Li Chen, who was still a child. Although she did not immediately fall to her knees like the Villagers, her eyes held much the same reverence for the "Creator God."

To understand her better, Li Chen directly used his second Soul Skill to view her information.

"Thank you for your blessing, Lord Creator God."

"All right. From now on, you'll stay in the village and focus on brewing potions and researching other potion recipes. If you need materials, ask Brown Robe. If he doesn't have them either, write up a list for me." Li Chen finished assigning her duties.

After speaking, he sent her off to attend to her work, while he continued to see what the other creatures would be like after being spawned.

When Li Chen spawned the Witch, the Iron Golem's underlying code had already prompted it to rush over and start swinging. Only after he forcibly ordered it to stop and added Wu Yi to its whitelist did the Iron Golem stand down.

No matter how he looked at it, leaving the Illagers in the village felt inappropriate. After some thought, he still decided to take them to the academy and assign them to a patrol team.
