Whale Rubber

Li Chen looked at the thirty-one Breeze spawn eggs and Shulker spawn eggs remaining in his inventory.

In the spirit of exploration, he brought over the village's Iron Golem to prevent any accidents, then spawned a Breeze.

The Breeze did not attack him. This probably had something to do with the villagers calling him the Creator God; it was more than a simple title.

However, he did not seem able to command the Breeze either, probably because it was a hostile creature.

Now Li Chen had another question. This creature certainly could not be a Soul Master, but did it count as a Soul Beast? Would it drop a Soul Ring if killed?

Before dealing with it, though, he used his second Soul Skill to inspect all of the Breeze's information.

At one thousand years, Wind Charge is enhanced. At ten thousand years, the remaining two skills are enhanced.

At one hundred thousand years, gains an additional domain skill.

The first Breeze to reach two hundred thousand years will become the Breeze Population King. Subsequent Breezes cannot surpass the king's age and cannot assume human form.

After a population king emerges, newly spawned Breezes will start at 1% of the king's age.

[Age advancement]:

1. Automatically gains one year of age each month, doubled in places rich in wind energy.

2. Apply Breeze spawn eggs. Each egg directly adds one hundred years of age; the current world limit is 999,999 years.

3. Absorb wind-attribute items.

[Taming method]: Feed wind charges to increase affection. Once its age reaches at least 10,000 years and its affection reaches at least 70, you will be able to command it in battle.

"A Variant. It should be pretty much like the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent over in Slaughter City, meaning it won't drop a Soul Ring."

Li Chen had originally planned to let the Iron Golem deal with it directly, but since it would not attack them anyway, he might as well keep it for now.

He applied all the remaining spawn eggs to this Breeze, raising its age to 3,200 years.

At one thousand years, the Breeze's Wind Charge skill became Enhanced Wind Charge, allowing it to fire several wind charges consecutively, much like a Blaze.

He likewise inspected a Shulker spawned from his remaining eggs first. Aside from the skills, its basic information was largely the same, and it was also classified as a Variant.

After forcibly raising its age to 3,200 years as well, he had the villagers take it away and look after it properly.

"Master, are we going to hunt for Soul Rings now?"

Because of his Martial Soul, any Soul Rings would work for his Command Block, but little Wine Fox could not simply make do with a Ten-Year Soul Ring.

"No rush. I'll definitely get you the best Soul Rings. We'll set off once everything's ready." Li Chen rubbed her ears. "How about we go have a look around Suotuo City together first?"

"Sure!" Wine Fox narrowed her eyes, enjoying Li Chen's touch, and brimmed with anticipation at the prospect of exploring the city.

Inside Suotuo City, Wine Fox followed behind Li Chen, tugging at his clothes now and then. "Master, I want to eat that."

He had heard those words no fewer than ten times since entering the city. Although their relationship was that of master and maid, they looked more like brother and sister at the moment.

After eating their way from the eastern end of the street to the western end, Li Chen finally took Wine Fox to attend to the real business concerning her Soul Rings-buying whale rubber.

The Suotuo City Auction House did not look particularly large, with the Great Soul Arena standing right beside it.

As soon as they entered, a staff member responsible for receiving guests approached them. "Hello, how may I help you?"

"Do you have any whale rubber? The older, the better. Nothing under a thousand years."

"Yes, we do. Please follow me." The staff member paused before answering.

Clearly, whale rubber's true effects had yet to be discovered, and she had obviously misunderstood something. Still, he had no intention of explaining.

Soon, the staff member brought over five wooden boxes. Opening one of them, she said:

"You've come at just the right time. We received this ten-thousand-year whale glue from Vast Sea City only a week ago..."

Li Chen knew its effects better than she did and interrupted her outright. "Just tell me the price."

"Thirty thousand Gold Soul Coins."

"Deal." Li Chen immediately took the Gold Soul Coins from his inventory to pay, then reached for the piece of ten-thousand-year whale glue.

"Wait."

Li Chen's hand stopped in midair as he looked at the staff member. "What, does your auction house go back on its deals?"

The staff member hurriedly explained, "Ten-thousand-year whale glue is extremely potent. I recommend waiting until you're older before using it."

"I know." With that, he put the whale rubber into his inventory, turned, and left.

The sky had begun to darken. Looking at the bustling Great Soul Arena beside them, he asked, "Wine Fox, do you want to watch some Soul Fighting? It's where Soul Masters fight each other."

"Do you want to watch, Master?" Rather than answering directly, Wine Fox asked him a question in return.

To be honest, he really had not watched Soul Fighting in person since transmigrating. "Come on, let's go watch."

Flying Martial Souls, for instance, actually needed Soul Skills to take flight. The battles only looked intense because of the Martial Souls' special effects.

Not long after they left the Great Soul Arena, Wine Fox suddenly stopped him and whispered in his ear, "Master, someone's following us."

Of all times, this had to happen when he had not brought the Iron Golem. Fortunately, he still had his unused time stop. As long as his opponents' levels were not too far above his, he was confident he could turn the tables and kill them.

Li Chen kept acting normally, but his gaze flicked behind him from time to time, and he was already prepared to summon his Martial Soul at any moment.

At the same time, he opened Wine Fox's inventory and placed a Stone Sword inside. Right now, he still had as much stone equipment as he could ever want.

As they reached a corner, a sleazy-looking middle-aged man blocked their path.

"Hey, kids, there are lots of bad people out at night. How about I take you home?"

It seemed the man was mainly after little Wine Fox. Under the current circumstances, time stop would only be enough to deal with the man in front of him, but others were still following them. He needed to lure them out and deal with them all together.

"Sure, mister! My home's on Second Street in the eastern district."
