Background
Before the transmigration, Qin Chuan was an auxiliary Soul King from Spirit Hall’s outer courtyard. Spirit Hall had nurtured him for years, but his assessments were mediocre and he had no notable battle achievements. Hu Liena selected him for the tournament team without paying much attention to him 1 12.
During the tournament final against Shrek, Tang San’s hammer left him with a collapsed chest, a dislocated shoulder, and torn ligaments. A transmigrator took over his body and recovered his memories. The God of Drama System bound itself to him immediately afterward, granting a second martial soul 1.
Appearance
- Youthful appearance: Described as a young man 12.
- Black long robe: His tournament clothing is blood-soaked and later shown torn in several places 1 2.
- Martial soul manifestation: God of Drama appears as a smiling dwarven jester, approximately the length of a chopstick, which Qin Chuan calls the Clown Dwarf 1 2.
Personality
Qin Chuan is provocative and deliberately theatrical. He chooses Truth or Dare questions for their public impact, aiming to destroy Tang San’s reputation before the tournament audience. He also exploits Tang San’s reliance on Purple Demon Eye by feigning one hand gesture before changing it at the last moment 4 6 7.
His confidence is tempered by calculation. Against Tang Hao, he accepts a remaining twenty-percent chance of losing Destiny Roulette rather than treating his power as infallible. After reaching Soul Emperor, he still recognizes that attacks launched from outside his domain threaten him 11 27.
He combines commercial ambition with political strategy, using his tournament victory to advertise the Game Hall and later turning the Soul Beast Protection Law into leverage over major sect leaders. He also insists on protection for Xiao Wu and respects Qian Renxue’s request to keep her identity secret 12 13 27 29 34.
His teasing frequently tests personal boundaries: he threatens to use Truth or Dare to check Hu Liena’s feelings and kisses Bibi Dong without permission during their allegiance negotiations 13 14.
Abilities & Skills
God of Drama System
The system supplies Qin Chuan’s second martial soul and connects emotional reactions, game spending, and personal advancement 1.
- Emotion points: Collects emotional value from targets and converts it into points for the System Shop. Humiliation, anger, shock, laughter, and satisfaction all generate rewards 5 7 9.
- Customer spending: Each Gold Soul Coin spent at the Game Hall earns him one bonus point; spending also awards Soul Power points 15 16.
- System Shop: Provides game props, machines, devices, and access to new attractions. Some purchases require both points and a minimum cultivation level 13 15.
God of Drama Martial Soul
God of Drama governs combat through enforced games rather than ordinary clashes of Soul Power 1 2.
- Automatic advancement: Corresponding soul rings and skills unlock as its rank increases, without hunting soul beasts 1 27.
- Rank-independent rules: Targets must obey the game even when their cultivation greatly exceeds Qin Chuan’s 2 11 33.
- Clown Dwarf: Announces rules, countdowns, results, and rewards 2 19 27.
- Shared risk: Qin Chuan remains a player who can lose and suffer penalties; his advantages do not guarantee victory 2 11.
Game Domain
Game Domain establishes the area in which Qin Chuan’s rules operate. Its tournament form has pale-violet light, dice and playing-card patterns, and a checkerboard floor 2 3.
- Containment and suppression: Encloses the arena, resists attempts to escape, neutralizes Oscar’s Recovery Sausage, and seals abilities when a game requires it 3.
- Position control: Allows Qin Chuan to relocate within the domain to evade Tang San’s hammer. Red Light also grants the dealer short-range teleportation at the game’s opening 6 33.
- Command influence: His words amplify an instinct to comply. Great strength or sufficiently firm will can resist this effect 9.
- Simulated environments: Can replace an ordinary room with a detailed courtyard reproducing textures, sights, and smells. Object Hide-and-Seek registers attacks without causing actual injuries or damaging martial souls and rings 18.
- Critical weakness: He must establish the domain first. Powerful ranged attacks from outside it remain dangerous 27 28.
First Soul Skill: Coin of Fate
A target guesses whether a coin will land on heads or tails 1.
- Correct answer: Restores the target to full health.
- Incorrect answer: Inflicts rule-based divine lightning that heavily wounds the target.
- Limits: Ten uses per day, with a twenty-four-hour cooldown for the same target.
- Guaranteed self-use: Once per day, Qin Chuan can ensure his own guess is correct.
- Probability adjustment: Against Ma Hongjun, he increases the chance of tails by ten percentage points 9.
Qin Chuan uses this skill to recover from his tournament injuries and later to knock out Ma Hongjun 2 9.
Second Soul Skill: Rock-Paper-Scissors
A single round determines who must receive an undefended attack 6.
- Loser’s penalty: Must stand still, cannot retaliate or defend, and takes damage directly to the body.
- Substitute attacker: The winner may nominate someone whose level does not exceed their own.
- Probability adjustment: Qin Chuan can raise his winning chance by twenty percentage points.
- Demonstrated tactic: Baits Tang San into reading a paper gesture, then changes to rock after Tang San commits to scissors 6 7.
He appoints Xiao Wu to strike Tang San and Zhu Zhuqing to strike Dai Mubai after winning their respective games 7 9.
Third Soul Skill: Truth or Dare
Forces a selected target to choose a game option while their Soul Power and abilities are locked 3.
- Enforced answers: The rules can control the target’s throat and vocal cords.
- Refusal penalty: Tang San’s failure to choose lets Qin Chuan impose Truth with two questions instead of one.
- Rule-breaking penalty: Resistance triggers Soul Power backlash 3 4.
- Public exposure: Qin Chuan uses it to reveal Tang San’s plan to manipulate Xiao Wu into willingly sacrificing herself 5.
Fourth Soul Skill: Destiny Roulette
Traps Qin Chuan and an opponent at a purple-mist round table for alternating revolver shots 10 11.
- Six chambers: Contains one rule-bound bullet; each player fires at their own temple.
- Empty chamber: Temporarily increases that player’s Soul Power by twenty percent.
- Live chamber: Strips the victim’s Soul Power, removes their ability to fight, and forcibly ejects them from battle.
- Forced participation: Even Tang Hao cannot escape or refuse to pull the trigger.
- Probability adjustment: Qin Chuan shifts thirty percentage points of the losing chance onto Tang Hao, leaving himself a twenty-percent risk 11.
- Temporary deprivation: Tang Hao later recovers his Soul Power; the bullet does not permanently destroy it 22.
Fifth Soul Skill: Happy Cultivation
Accelerates cultivation through games played with Qin Chuan or at his Game Hall 12 14.
- Cultivation speed: Ten to one hundred times faster than meditation.
- Female bonus: Women receive an additional twofold boost.
- Engagement: Deeper interaction and emotional investment improve the cultivation effect 18.
- Demonstrated results: After more than an hour of Blindfolded Tag, Xiao Wu reaches level 42, Zhu Zhuqing reaches late level 42, and Hu Liena reaches late level 51 15.
Sixth Soul Skill: One, Two, Three, Red Light
An absolute crowd-control game, also listed as “123 Wooden Man” in the system panel 27 28.
- Initial control: Freezes everyone caught in the domain while the rules are explained.
- Dealer privilege: Qin Chuan selects himself as the first round’s “It.”
- Movement rule: Players may advance while his back is turned but must remain absolutely still when he turns around.
- Violation penalty: Any movement causes transformation into a wooden figure.
- Countercondition: A player who touches his back causes Qin Chuan to become a wooden figure instead.
- Spectator exemption: Nonhostile targets can be excluded from participation 33.
Its first documented combat use initially freezes nine Titled Douluos, including Bibi Dong and his two allies. After exempting those three, Qin Chuan catches Yu Yuanzhen, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong moving and turns them into wooden statues 33.
Equipment & Items
- Special black blindfold: Blocks both vision and Soul Power perception during Blindfolded Tag 14.
- Destiny Roulette revolver: A dark-silver, six-chamber weapon with a smiling face engraved on its barrel; manifests through his fourth skill and dissolves afterward 10 12.
- Spray Soul Tool: Object Hide-and-Seek’s Seeker weapon. Fires unlimited Soul Power blasts that expose disguised Hiders without inflicting physical damage 19.
- Soul Beast Protection Law document: Used to obtain the six Titled Douluos’ oaths and Soul Power imprints 33 34.
Douluo Game Hall
Qin Chuan’s three-story establishment stands on a corner of Spirit City’s shopping street. Bibi Dong provides funding, while Ghost Douluo completes the renovation overnight 13 15.
| Area | Attractions and Function |
|---|---|
| First floor | Claw machines, Fruit Machines, blind boxes, and Horse Racing Machines; customer spending generates system rewards 15 16. |
| Second floor | Object Hide-and-Seek, Blindfolded Tag, and Otherworld Survival rooms 15 18. |
| Third floor | Planned immersive VR scenarios. Initially locked because Qin Chuan lacks the necessary strength and points 15. |
- Otherworld Survival requirements: Costs 100,000 points to unlock and requires at least level 58 15.
- Survival stakes: Can cause real injury or death. Its highest possible rewards are a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring and Soul Bone, not guaranteed prizes 24.
- Haunted Dormitory: The three-star instance cleared by Qin Chuan and Qian Renxue grants two levels to players below level 80; its listed failure penalty is two levels, and entry is limited to once per day 25.
- Time difference: Their twelve-hour survival session occupies only two hours outside the game 27.
- Future divinity rewards: Third-floor scenarios advertise Divinity after nine clears, but venues require one to ten million points and levels ranging from 81 to 91 15.
Relationships
- Bibi Dong — Patron, political partner, and sworn elder sister. Funds his hall, appoints him Saint Son, and supports his Soul Beast Protection Law. Qin Chuan calls her “Sis Dongdong”; their private relationship includes his unsolicited kiss and increasingly intimate interactions 13 29 30 32 34.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Continental Soul Master Tournament
Qin Chuan reverses Spirit Hall’s losing position after awakening God of Drama. He heals himself, exposes Tang San’s intentions toward Xiao Wu, and defeats Shrek’s remaining fighters through game penalties. Oscar surrenders, and Spirit Hall is declared champion 1 2 5 7 9.
When Tang Hao intervenes to kill him, Qin Chuan wins Destiny Roulette despite being level 51 against a level 95 Titled Douluo. He then advertises the planned Game Hall to the tournament’s hundred-thousand-strong audience 10 11 12.
Saint Son and Game Hall Founder
Qin Chuan negotiates funding and Xiao Wu’s protection with Bibi Dong, leaving a third condition undecided. She appoints him Saint Son, and he establishes the hall with Spirit Hall’s backing. Its success raises him to level 58 in ten days 13 15 22.
He introduces multiplayer cultivation games and attracts Qian Renxue, disguised as Xue Qinghe. Their Haunted Dormitory victory unlocks his sixth skill and brings him to Soul Emperor 18 24 27.
Six Titled Douluos and the Protection Law
Tang Hao’s coalition plans to attack from beyond Qin Chuan’s domain. Instead, the six enter a soul-bone-baited room and are trapped in an exclusive Haunted Dormitory match with their Soul Power sealed. Their failure costs each of them one level 23 30 32.
When they demand restoration, Qin Chuan presents the Soul Beast Protection Law, whose rulings, interpretations, and exemptions fall under Spirit Hall’s authority. He suppresses their violent response with Red Light and secures their oaths and Soul Power imprints in exchange for removing the penalties 29 30 33 34.
Bibi Dong credits him with resolving in ten minutes an agreement she expected would require months of conflict with the Upper Three Sects 34.
