"I know you haven't all died. I know you're still watching me. But the fact that you still haven't taken action against me tells me that, though you are jailers, you're no different from the other beings in this Hell. You know nothing of the calamity beyond Hell, nor of the connection between that being and me."
Lynn stood there with his head raised, speaking to the entire expanse of black mist.
"And now, I will bring that being into Hell."
"The Magic Array behind me is an amplifier. It has already established a link with Blue Star, and an array to summon me has been set up there. By relaying and amplifying its signal through multiple arrays, it can transmit the fluctuations of my summoning throughout the Main Universe and broadcast my location beyond Hell."
Gale winds surged.
The Night Doctor behind him was deathly pale, almost trembling as he stared at Lynn's back.
Lynn's expression remained calm.
Amid the storm, he took that step forward.
"I don't know why that being is looking for me, or what it actually is. But I am certain you are no match for it. I imagine that mass of chaotic colors never told you that the upheaval that swept across the entire boundary during my last fall was caused by an experiment I conducted outside Hell. That time, Hell saved me."
He glanced at his pocket watch.
"But now, I will no longer be grateful."
"In ten seconds, Blue Star will begin summoning me. You can gamble that I'm lying, or try to cut off my connection to the outside. The choice is yours."
"The countdown begins now."
He held the pocket watch.
Standing atop that enormous Magic Array, his face was so still that no emotion could be discerned.
