The Witch God Head's eyes flickered. "I don't know-but we do suspect it-because during the attack just over ten days ago-we were hit by some kind of new weapon of theirs-"
She turned around and used a tentacle to lift the hair at the back of her head.
Lynn immediately saw it.
Beneath that hair was a bloody, mangled hole. He could even clearly see the brain writhing inside his Witch God Aunt's skull.
"It couldn't kill me-but one shot blasted straight through me-even my ability to heal has been severely restricted-"
She turned back, a multitude of emotions flickering in her eyes.
"Lynn-you know what this means-"

Of course he knew.
The Mechanical Church had the greatest potential for warfare. Back in the Main Universe, it had developed Machine Civilization to the point where it could fight numerous members of the God Race, and even overpower them.
That alone had long since proven that their weapons could slaughter gods and buddhas.
But after falling into Hell, through the many wars they had fought against the Mechanical Church, the Church's most powerful weapons had been almost exclusively the Hive and nanomachines. Those were the only two worth mentioning; everything else was basic military capability meant for conventional battlefields.
That made no sense.
"You're saying that after falling, the God of Ten Thousand Machines might have taken the initiative, albeit unwillingly, to abandon certain cutting-edge things in order to escape the curse's suppression."
Lynn pondered this.
Things like those Ancient God-level technologies and methods.
Things like the knowledge of crucial weapons and equipment that had allowed him to reign supreme in the Main Universe.
It wasn't impossible.
At least here in Hell, they had never seen the Mechanical Church deploy the kind of terrifying weapon that could
