Dark Night City.
Lynn's own room.
Sitting cross-legged on the bed, Lynn had his eyes closed, like a doll without a soul.
But the very next moment, his body shuddered and his eyes snapped open. A mechanical glow flashed in his eye sockets as the Curse Eye and the Eye of Cthulhu activated again, pulling him out of that bygone time.
Rattle, rattle, rattle-
Lynn's left hand lunged toward the floor.
His wrist instantly stretched, twisting on the spot with a rattling sound into that little black-haired girl. The Atomic Machinery that split off swiftly covered her petite body in a thin black dress.
Zuo Zuo popped into her Mimicry form, her eyes wide.
She quickly looked around, then turned toward the clock on the desk. Astonished, she snatched it up and sat beside Lynn, swinging her legs as she said:
"The time really hasn't changed at all! Does that mean no matter how long we stay in the past, whenever we come back, it'll always be the exact moment we left?"
"Th-this is incredible!"
Lynn, meanwhile, still had his eyes closed.
Because at that very moment, his system was handing out the rewards for this operation.
[Ding! Your 54th Time War has been completed. Your rewards have been issued. Congratulations! You have received all attributes +300 and Skill Enhancement Scrolls +2. You can now travel to more distant points in time.]
Lynn opened his eyes.
This was what he had been doing for the past month.
He had paid no attention to the Great Fall outside, nor to the pollution and infiltration wrought by Calamity in various places. Instead, he had devoted himself entirely to the Time War, constantly farming attributes to fuel his growth.
And he knew very well what he lacked most right now.
