Although the giant was fast, Lynn had already imbued himself and Zuo Zuo with laws of speed, and now the agility of their smaller bodies came into play.
With one arm already severed, the giant was even less of a match for Lynn and Zuo Zuo.
In the void, after dodging another terrifying blow from the corpse giant, Lynn abruptly stopped, and a dazzling light erupted from the tips of his Trident.
Humm-
He raised the Trident high, divine light surging in his eyes. He gathered Spatial Laws, conjuring over a hundred spatial blades around himself.
Shhk-shhk-shhk-
The spatial cuts struck the corpse giant in an instant. Bones snapped in unison, and vast quantities of soft flesh burst apart like a tremendous snowfall that blotted out the sky.
A hateful, savage light shone from the enormous eye sockets of that shattered skull.
But at that very moment.
Whoosh-
A Trident burning with golden flames tore through the sky-obscuring blood mist. With unstoppable momentum, like an eternal spear, it appeared before the giant in an instant.
The razor-sharp Trident pierced the shattered skull, blasting the entire back of its head to pieces. It traced an arc through the void and flew back, and Lynn caught it in his hand.
"Well? Did we destroy it?"
Zuo Zuo flew back to Lynn's side and peered down curiously. The back of her head still ached faintly, but it was far better than before.
The corpse fell apart once again.
Huge severed limbs floated before them like space debris, seemingly incapable of moving anymore.
But Lynn narrowed his eyes, showing no intention of lowering his guard.
"Judging by what just happened, this corpse probably hasn't developed a sufficiently coherent will. It seems more like a combat instinct, a lingering remnant of intent."
It was fast.
