Lynn sat before a large pile of books, frowning at the specialized potion test tubes in front of him. Narrowing his eyes, he slowly dripped the golden liquid from a small vial in his hand into the larger flask before him.

As that drop of liquid fell in, the potion in the flask immediately began bubbling furiously.
Lynn kept a close count of the seconds. After the reaction had continued for roughly eight seconds, he swiftly poured a large quantity of powdered ingredients into the flask.
Then, with a (〝▼皿▼) expression, he quickly poured it into the potion pot before it could react further, slammed the lid on, grabbed a hammer, and bang, bang, bang, nailed it shut on the spot.
"Looks like it's going to work this time!"
Lynn gave a satisfied, cold smile.

Even the towering Spire above the Underground Grand Hall shook violently twice.
The two guards stationed outside the Spire kept their eyes closed, no longer reacting at all to explosions like this.
