His voice grew ever calmer, and his vision and perspective were the most unfathomable, the most impossibly far-reaching of all the Origins Lynn had ever encountered.
Yes.
He was no failure.
You could call it scheming, you could call him a deserter, but he had indeed used his defeat in the war against the Colossus and the Cyber Civilization thousands of years ago to escape the great calamity three thousand years ago.
And Lynn finally understood why the Flesh God Cult could never rival the Mechanical Church.
Because they had a king who looked down upon this entire world!
"It has begun."
The God of Ten Thousand Machines raised his head, gazing through the enormous opening toward the very center of Curse City.
"Let me see how the Colossus Brain intends to save you. This should be our first conversation in seven thousand years."
Bzz-
Almost at that very instant, the ground throughout Curse City began to shake violently.
Lynn's heart, held in check by him, began to beat even more fiercely amid the tremendous earthquake.
Thump-
Thump-
It was like a war drum sounding from Hell.
Even those nearby could clearly hear the thunderous beats coming from Lynn's chest.
It was a lone wolf's call to its pack.
A long howl beneath the moon.
And beneath Lynn's blood-red gaze, at the very center of Curse City, deep within the enormous mother tree wrapped in countless densely tangled vines and branches-
A thunderous rumbling rang out.
The earth shook. A tower hidden in the deepest reaches underground broke through the surface inch by inch, shattering the Mother Tree of Desire's branches as it slowly emerged into everyone's Vision Realm Line.
The pale tower rose with a rumble, like a monument piercing straight into the sky.
It was the Colossus Tower!
