The two continued across the Wasteland shrouded in Blood Mist.
All the while, Lynn secretly kept track of the time. From what he had learned so far, the Mother Tree of Desire had devoured a small fragment of the Colossus Heart. Though he did not know how she had managed it, she had indeed gained a portion of the Colossus Heart's authority.
It was very little, so little that he could not even sense it.
But combined with his own incomplete Colossus Heart, it could indeed delay the interference of the terror projections to some extent.
Still, Lynn believed.
That reprieve would not last long.
After they had walked across the Wasteland for an unknown length of time, the weeping-willow-like girl ahead suddenly stopped and raised her head. The branches and leaves hanging from her head stirred without wind.
"Stop!"
Lynn raised an eyebrow and asked playfully, "What's wrong?"
The girl kept her head raised. A profound, mocking smile slowly appeared on her face as she took a step back and said:
"Nothing. Let's just say you're very lucky. Guess who we've run into?"
At those words, something stirred in Lynn's heart, and his mind began racing.
The Blood Mist churned ahead.
Clearly.
As an Origin, the Mother Tree of Desire could perceive things far beyond his range, even with the restrictions imposed by the Blood Mist.
Lynn adjusted his Monocle and said with a casual smile, "Judging by that expression, don't tell me my big brother Awen is up ahead?"
An eerie smile appeared on the girl's face. With interest, she said, "That's right. You guessed it. But should I call you lucky or unlucky? Didn't you want to know what that calamity that made us fall actually was? As luck would have it, now you can feast your
