But there was almost no chance to catch their breath.
The instant his vision returned, Lynn saw the most terrifying sight of his life.
Amid the dense black mist, an immense human body sat cross-legged, countless stars circling fearfully around him like fireflies. Even the Colossus seemed as insignificant as a speck of dust before him. He resembled a sleeping giant god, submerged in darkness.
But eerily enough...
Half of his enormous face had been completely torn apart, exposing the rotten black flesh and bones within.
His brain looked as though it had been hollowed out, dripping ominous black blood. He was as silent as a corpse in the starry void.
"An Ancient God... who evolved flesh to its ultimate form..."
Those silver eyes gazed at the enormous corpse as the Colossus Brain murmured.
Through the transdimensional link, even Lynn felt the waves of cold dread rippling through the Colossus Brain's consciousness at the sight.
"Go! We can't get close!"
After just one glance, the Colossus Brain paid it no further heed and raced upward at full speed, eyes dark.
But the ominous scene unfolded nonetheless. The eyes of the enormous corpse lying lifeless in the starry void slowly opened. In an instant, like a burning star, they erupted with billions of feet of ominous deathly light. Its sky-blotting hand swept along countless extinguished stars as it slowly reached for the Colossus.
Rumble-
It was like a cataclysm. The mere aura stirred up by that rotten hand made Lynn feel as though his soul would shatter.
And he was not the only one. Countless Colossus consciousnesses within the consciousness space began flickering out as well. At the critical moment, all of them seemed to answer a summons, merging completely into the Colossus Brain. The entire consciousness space abruptly went dark.
