Without a moment's hesitation, Lynn jerked his head up and looked toward the direction in which the curse's black threads were spreading across the sky.
This was the Colossus's consciousness space. The invading curse would inevitably spread toward the core of her consciousness. As long as he followed its advance, he would find her.
He leaped up.
Lynn tore through the blood mist and bounded across the shattered ground, racing in that direction.
Time flew by.
Finally, several minutes later, as Lynn stepped through a bank of blood mist, he spotted a dim phantom slumped alone in the distance, her back to him.
"Colossus Brain!"
Lynn shouted.
Above them, the dense fluctuations of the curse had already begun creeping toward her from every direction like pitch-black vines.
The halo around her was no longer as dazzling as it had been when she charged at the borders of Hell. It had grown dim and dull, like a candle guttering in the wind, ready to go out at any moment.
Lynn hurried forward and stopped behind her.
"The curse is almost here! What are you still doing here? Take control of your body and fight it!"
Lynn stared intently at her back.
But she did not respond. She merely sat alone with her head bowed, still cradling the illusory image of the Colossus Heart, like a candle burning down to its end in a gale.
Lynn frowned slightly and was about to step forward.
But just then-
Crack-
A sharp, thunderous sound rang out beside Lynn's ears.
At that instant, Lynn's expression changed drastically. Along with that tremendous shattering sound, an enormous fissure suddenly appeared across the phantom's body. Dense cracks rapidly spread from it over the rest of her form.
In that moment.
Lynn understood almost instantly what she was doing!
