Arc 73The Road to Lord Rank

Lynn returned from the Endless Sea with the Calamity threatening the Main Universe, then brought his allies and Azephala back to Dark Night City. His companions put him through punishing physical and psionic training, and the arc ended with Sir Awen testing him against simulated territory lords.

  • Raymond returned to Lynn at the Boundary Gate, warned that the Calamity was invading the Main Universe, and closed the gate after Lynn glimpsed a familiar white-haired figure beyond it.
  • Lynn recovered aboard Constantine’s ship, said his fusion with the second Raven was progressing, and reassured Zuo Zuo before tricking her into cheering him up.
  • Lynn accepted the King Beasts’ pledge of loyalty, then returned to Sky City and took its buildings and supplies aboard Constantine’s overloaded ship.
  • Lynn crashed into Dark Night City, unloaded his haul, and was challenged by the Colossus to develop his physical strength instead of relying on regeneration and equipment.
  • Lynn opened the Trident’s Strange Otherworld, reunited with Azephala, and learned that Cthulhu and the Seraphim from Blue Star had fused into a chaotic being who might never awaken.
  • The Titan Head taught Lynn to control his cells and blood energy, while Sir Awen sent him to study psionics for centuries in the Sea of Loss.
  • Lynn trained by day with Titan and by night with Sir Awen, mastering new physical and psionic abilities and defeating three heavy mechs.

Arc 74The Mechanical Church War

Lynn joined the war against the Mechanical Church, fought his way into its territory, and found Colossus Brain imprisoned after the Church used her signal to lure him into a trap. As the Church began a ritual to sacrifice Lynn and the cage, the chaos he cultivated started devouring space and a black flaw appeared in the Mathematical Magic.

  • Lynn cleared the Lord Rank test, challenged the Death Omen test, and learned from Sir Awen that he needed to achieve a preliminary Trinity to face the coming calamity.
  • The Mechanical Church attacked the defenders at Hellfire Corridor, and Lynn joined the war, destroying an approaching warship before its nanite swarm disintegrated the wreckage and Night Doctors.
  • Lynn evacuated the Night Doctors into his Trident’s Strange Otherworld, then infiltrated the Church’s territory using nanomachines made from his own cells.
  • Lynn found Colossus Brain trapped in a cage beneath the Volcanic Range, where Dragon Head and the Church sought to recruit her into their effort to achieve the Trinity.
  • Lynn summoned reinforcements and led an assault on the cage, but discovered the Church had planted a piece of Colossus’s flesh to manipulate her transdimensional signal and lure him into a spatial trap.
  • The Mechanical Church revealed that the Calamity’s emissary had offered it a chance to survive in exchange for restraining Lynn and sacrificing Mathematical Magic, while its forces attacked Witch God Head and Eve.
  • Trapped in a self-contained space, Lynn cultivated a massive chaos creature from Clown’s secretions, flesh, metals, and Firstborn power, and it began devouring the surrounding space.
  • The Machine general began the sacrificial ritual as Dragon Head and Extinction overwhelmed Witch God Head and Eve, and a tiny black flaw appeared on the outer structure of the Mathematical Magic.
