Ch. 2541Farewell

Lynn said goodbye to his allies and left to grow strong enough to face the Calamity and protect the Main Universe. After absorbing Ether, he prepared to depart, but someone called his name from the distant reaches of the Azure World.

  • Lynn told Silver Fantasy that Dreamweaver’s primordial source was being consumed by chaos and asked Colossus to sustain her with trinity power while he was away.
  • Lynn entrusted the Legion’s affairs to the Matriarch and the Captain, then said farewell to Miss Machine Intelligence.
  • In the Azure World, Lynn entrusted Aivier and the Dragon Heart to the Painter and asked her to manage the war while he drew the Calamity’s attention with his Trident.
  • The Painter revealed Ether’s true form and urged Lynn to devour the woman who held the missing psionic aspect of his trinity, but Lynn rejected her advice.
  • Lynn absorbed Ether’s true form to strengthen his trinity, then stopped when a voice called his name from across the Azure World.

Ch. 2542If she does something to you in the future

Lin Meng apologized to Lynn and explained the divisions among Violet’s old followers over whether loyalty meant serving the Great Lord’s ideals or following the Great Lord himself. He warned Lynn that the Female Host had hidden her humanity to survive and begged him to forgive her if she ever harmed him.

  • Lin Meng approached Lynn in the Azure World, apologized for their past conflict, and asked to talk.
  • Lin Meng explained that many old followers had willingly embraced corruption and were divided over whether the calamity was truly their Great Lord.
  • Lynn asked what Lin Meng would do if the followers fought, and Lin Meng admitted he did not know but might have to act.
  • Lynn forgave Lin Meng and said he would be glad to fight beside him if they had the chance.
  • Lin Meng knelt and told Lynn that the Female Host had always retained her humanity, then begged him not to hurt her if she did something to him.

Ch. 2543Would the future be better?

Lynn returned to the Main Universe, planted the God Frontier, and entered seclusion inside the Pale Ones Blazing Sun to absorb Ether, uncertain whether he could eventually separate his fused Trinity without harming Big Brother Awen and Dreamweaver. In the years that followed, the God Frontier spread and Hell’s forces reclaimed much of the Main Universe, while Lynn’s Legion advanced along the Path of Laws.

  • Lynn lit the stars of the Vast Cosmos and spread the God Frontier to draw Polluters toward the Chaos Abyss.
  • Lynn arrived at the Pale Ones Blazing Sun and entered seclusion to fuse Ether’s true form into his body and pursue the next stage of power.
  • The God Frontier gradually erased Chaos pollution across the Main Universe, and people learned that Lynn had stormed into the Divine Realm.
  • The Captain, the Matriarch, and others led the people of Dark Night City into the Divine Realm and agreed with Hell’s Jailers to divide control at Aivier’s Palace.
  • The Captain, the Matriarch, the Dollhouse, Titan, and the Legion’s Origins fought to reclaim Polluter-occupied star domains, and the campaign lasted two years.
  • The Legion’s last Origin became a Demigod, bringing Lynn’s Legion fully onto the Path of Laws as its members continued cultivating in the Divine Realm.

Ch. 2544Time flew by

In the fourth year, a vast Nightmare assault struck the Main Universe, and the Painter defeated four peak Nightmare Demons but could not dispel fears of a growing war. The surviving defenders realized the attacks would intensify as the Calamity continued creating powerful enemies.

  • In the second year, the Self-Binding Angel used Lynn’s divine spark to become the first New God, and Dollhouse ascended as the God of the Mind.
  • In the third year, the Mother Tree found her shattered home, reclaimed her former self, and ascended to the divine seat of nature, while Titan Big Brother vanished into battles against the Polluters and Nightmares.
  • In the fourth year, vast numbers of Nightmares attacked the Main Universe’s borders, led by the Nightmare King, the Mirror Demon, and two other powerful figures.
  • The Nightmare King killed more than a dozen elite Jailers and overwhelmed the newly ascended gods until the Painter arrived and defeated all four Nightmare Demons.
  • After the Nightmares withdrew, the defenders feared the war would worsen because the Calamity could revive them and produce more beings like the Nightmare King.

Ch. 2545Seclusion

Fifteen days after the first war, coordinated rebellions devastated the Divine Realm and gravely wounded the Captain while damaging Lynn’s Time Bubble. As Lynn remained in painful seclusion trying to advance his Sinfire, his destruction Divine Spark arrived to give the Captain a chance to rebuild, and part of Lynn’s will returned to the past in the River of Time.

  • Coordinated rebellions broke out among the Jailers and in Dark Night City, killing Demigods and severely damaging Lynn’s Time Bubble.
  • The Captain was grievously wounded protecting the Time Bubble, and his teacher revealed that the Captain’s damaged primordial source was turning the Power of Death against him.
  • Silver Fantasy contacted Lynn for help, and a pitch-black God King Spark of Destruction descended over Dark Night City the next day as his answer.
  • The old man gave the Captain the destruction Divine Spark, offering him a chance to break and rebuild through a path beyond his teacher’s reach.
  • In seclusion, Lynn repeatedly failed to raise his Sinfire to the Third Stage as Ether and the Pale Blazing Sun strengthened him, while part of his will returned to the past in the River of Time.

Ch. 2546Create Your Power

Lynn struggled to hit the figure in the river of time until the figure explained that a dream was an extension of the will and urged him to arm his will. Lynn began to grasp that power could be created in a dream, but the chapter left him still searching for how to do it.

  • Lynn repeatedly attacked the figure in the past, who knocked him back with a single palm strike.
  • The figure told Lynn that two thresholds stood between him and the basic qualifications to fight in the Time War, then asked why he could not bring his fire.
  • Lynn realized that a dream extended the will, and concluded that the will, rather than the body or soul, was his true self.
  • The figure told Lynn to think about how to arm himself, prompting Lynn to question where the figure's power came from.
  • The figure asked Lynn why he could not create the power he wielded if he understood it and could create all things in his dream.

Ch. 2547A higher realm!

Lynn learned that manifesting power through a dream required deeply understanding what he wanted to create, and he recognized that he had rushed to accumulate strength without building a foundation. He returned to reality resolved to master his sinfire step by step.

  • A figure told Lynn that he would cross the first threshold if he could create his power within a dream and give it tangible form.
  • Lynn created ordinary scarlet flames in his dream, but they lacked the substance of sinfire, and his attempt to project psionics into reality quickly failed.
  • Lynn briefly manifested threads of law and realized he could create them because he understood them and had used them as a template for his Dream World.
  • Lynn considered the difficulty of reproducing his trinity power and recalled that he had failed for four years to breach the God King's space.
  • Lynn returned to reality, withdrew his sinfire to white ash, and resolved to build his understanding and foundation one step at a time.

Ch. 2548Mechanical Swarm

In the fifth year, the nightmares launched a full-scale invasion of the Main Universe, and Painter defeated the Nightmare King and the other great Nightmares without stopping the endless swarms. Silver Fantasy returned with an enormous mechanical army and turned the tide of the year-long war, leaving Dark Night City stunned by the Godhood symbol on her brow.

  • The nightmares invaded across the Main Universe's borders, overwhelming its defenses and forcing nearly every Jailer into battle.
  • Painter located and defeated the Nightmare King and the other three great Nightmares, but the swarms kept attacking because their numbers had reached critical mass.
  • In the war's second month, Silver Fantasy returned and sent endless mechanical swarms and silver warships to reinforce the battlefields.
  • Silver Fantasy's forces helped restore the Main Universe's defensive lines, and the nightmare army was driven back after nearly a year of war.
  • When Dark Night City's people met Silver Fantasy, they saw a Godhood symbol on her brow and realized she had forged the Divine Spark of All Things into herself.

Ch. 2549Accumulation and growth

Silver Fantasy continued seeking godhood while using Ether technology to wield the divine spark of all things, and the war against the growing Nightmare threat remained uncertain. After ten years of absorbing Ether’s primordial source and training in the frozen river of time, Lynn stabilized his sinfire but still could not defeat the figure who trained him, who said Lynn remained bound by logic.

  • Silver Fantasy said she would keep pursuing godhood and that the war could continue as long as the Nightmares stayed within what she could sustain.
  • Lynn spent ten years absorbing the blazing sun and fusing Ether’s primordial source, stabilizing his sinfire and gaining confidence in his strength.
  • Lynn fought the figure repeatedly in the river of time, first without power and then with sinfire, but failed to make him move or leave a mark.
  • The figure explained that Lynn still manufactured his fire by spending mental energy and remained trapped by logic.
  • Lynn protested that he could not imagine something without logic, arguing that anything unconceived would be fake even if it appeared.

Ch. 2550I can't get out

Lynn asked the Reincarnation God-King why he expected Lynn to defeat the Calamity when he could not, and learned that the God-King was trapped within the dream. The figure explained how Lynn’s path might let him escape the dream’s imprint, but said the time had not yet come.

  • Lynn asked whether the Reincarnation God-King could defeat the Calamity at his peak, and the figure said he could not.
  • Lynn questioned why he was expected to succeed and suggested that the figure could use Trinity to pursue the same goal himself.
  • The figure revealed that the cycles of Reincarnation had bound him to the dream, and that taking control of it as a Firstborn would not work against the Lord of the End.
  • The figure explained that Lynn and the Lord of the End had both severed their memories, but only Lynn could still escape the dream’s imprint by reenacting the past.
  • Lynn recognized how his life had been tied to the Outsider through the Colossus Heart, Zuo Zuo, his transformation on Blue Star, and his later use of Colossus cells.
  • The figure warned Lynn that further study of Firstborn Power would deepen the imprint, then said he had spoken with Lynn’s future self but did not know what they had discussed.

Ch. 2551Ten years of war

Lynn was warned not to interfere with his past as the Main Universe’s war against the Nightmare King’s army worsened over the next decade. As the nightmare forces overwhelmed the outer ring, the Self-Binding Angel defended a vital Warp Tower while Dollhouse attempted to use the Sea of the Mind against the invading army.

  • Lynn resolved not to meet or communicate with his past self after the figure warned that even a small interference could reshape history.
  • Five years passed, and the war entered its fifteenth year as the nightmare army seized every Edge World and much of the Main Universe’s outer ring.
  • Aivier awakened, several Dark Night City Demigods became gods, and two more God King-level Nightmare Demons joined the invasion.
  • The Self-Binding Angel defended the last operational Warp Tower on a key planet until a mechanical fleet arrived through it as reinforcements.
  • Dollhouse sensed the nightmare army’s consciousness filling the Sea of the Mind and invoked the God Frontier’s power as she plucked its countless psychic threads.

Ch. 2552The calm before the storm

Dollhouse turned the Nightmare armies against one another, but their minds attacked her until a psionic storm rescued her, which she believed came from him. Across the Main Universe, Nightmare forces suddenly retreated from the inner ring, leaving Aivier worried that something worse was coming.

  • Dollhouse used the God Frontier's support to control the Nightmare armies, making them slaughter one another, but the strain left her gravely weakened.
  • Nightmare minds crossed into the sea of the mind and dragged Dollhouse toward its depths, until a psionic storm swept them away and saved her.
  • The Main Universe's third and fourth wars forced its defenders back to the inner ring as Nightmare armies avoided Painter and continued their invasion.
  • Nightmare armies abruptly retreated across the inner ring's battlefields, prompting soldiers and civilians to cheer.
  • Aivier watched the retreat from the outer ring and feared the Nightmares had withdrawn for a more troubling reason.

Ch. 2553Calamity descended

The Nightmares withdrew from every front as the Four Kings of Hell gathered, but a vast darkness then swept across the Chaos Border. The defenders recognized its arrival as the true storm the Nightmares had been awaiting, while Reincarnation chose not to go to meet it.

  • Origins returned to Dark Night City and reported that the Nightmare armies had withdrawn across all fronts.
  • The Four Kings of Hell assembled before the Chaos Border, where the Azure Figure welcomed the returning Trident and warned that its master was not her husband.
  • Darkness spread across the frontier, swallowed outer Star Domains, and cut off contact as the God Frontier trembled.
  • Self-Binding Angel recognized the approaching presence, and the defenders realized the Nightmares had retreated to welcome their king.
  • Seven figures knelt in Chaos Deep Space as Reincarnation watched the darkened sky and declined to leave.

Ch. 2554Total war!!!!

The Painter confronted the returning calamity at the Chaos Border while the Nightmare Demons launched a full-scale assault on the weakened Main Universe. As the battle began, the Nightmare King targeted Lynn and challenged him to prove how much he had changed.

  • The calamity's awakening terrified the Main Universe's inhabitants and the New Gods, while the Four Kings of Hell warned that the Lord of the End would be born if the Main Universe were destroyed.
  • The Painter rose into the chaotic sky and charged toward the darkness in her orderly azure form, despite the danger of confronting the calamity directly.
  • The Painter's clash with the darkness shook the Main Universe and left its defenders watching in despair.
  • Seven Nightmare Demon Gods attacked the Inner Ring while the Painter was occupied, and the Nightmare King challenged Lynn to face him.

Ch. 2555But You Were Not Fighting Alone

As seven Nightmare Demons attacked the Divine Realm, Aivier and the assembled Gods prepared to resist while God Frontier enacted Lynn’s final plan. The plan turned Silver Fantasy and the being aboard the Giant Ship into God Kings by consuming the power—and lives—of the Inner Ring, leaving the defenders fighting alongside Lynn in his absence.

  • The Four Kings of Hell fought the invading Nightmare Demons, while Aivier blocked the Mirror Demon and began transforming into a Chaos Being.
  • The Self-Binding Angel rallied the Gods and ordered the Angel Legion to mobilize the stars and change God Frontier’s trajectory.
  • The Gods, demigods, origins, and living beings across the Inner Ring linked through God Frontier and surrendered their power to shoulder the coming battle.
  • God Frontier sent its gathered power into the Mechanical Fortress and the Giant Ship, transforming Silver Fantasy and the ship’s occupant into God Kings.
  • As stars dimmed and countless lives became fuel for the transformation, the Self-Binding Angel asked them to tell Lynn that everyone was fighting alongside him.

Ch. 2556A defeat that could not be stopped!

Lynn prepared to return after ten years of training, despite being told he had a nine-in-ten chance of dying. As the Nightmare Demons overwhelmed the defenders, the Nightmare King demanded that Silver Fantasy reveal where Lynn was hiding.

  • Lynn sealed the Sinfire within the Night Demon Blade and took up the Trident before deciding to face the Calamity.
  • The God Frontier and Divine Realm suffered devastating losses as the Nightmare Demons crushed the defenders.
  • Red Demon nearly killed Silver Fantasy, who escaped by scattering her body into Atomic Machinery.
  • The Nightmare King extracted a demigod’s memories and offered to spare Silver Fantasy if she revealed Lynn’s hiding place.
  • Silver Fantasy answered the Nightmare King’s demand by summoning the Mechanical Behemoths behind her.

Ch. 2557Choice and Betrayal

Silver Fantasy surrendered Lynn’s location to the Nightmare King in exchange for sparing Dark Night City, believing the war was hopeless and wanting the survivors to have time to say goodbye. She led the four Nightmare Demons toward the Fourth Layer of space, where Lynn was hiding.

  • The Nightmare King and Red Demon attacked Silver Fantasy while the God Frontier restored her, causing its defenders and countless beings across the stars to die in her place.
  • The Self-Binding Angel urged the defenders not to retreat, but Silver Fantasy asked the Nightmare King to let them live and offered to reveal Lynn’s location.
  • Silver Fantasy showed the Nightmare King memories of Lynn and explained that he needed Dreamweaver and ether to complete the Trinity, then identified the Fourth Layer as his hiding place.
  • The people of Dark Night City cursed and pleaded with Silver Fantasy not to betray Lynn, but she said she could no longer let them die for a hope that might never come.
  • The Nightmare King summoned the other two Nightmare Demons, warned Silver Fantasy of the consequences if she had lied, and followed her through the rift into the Fourth Layer.

Ch. 2558No, he wasn't there!

Silver Fantasy led the Nightmare Demons to the Fourth Layer, believing Lynn was there, while Constantine revealed that Lynn’s true form was elsewhere and tried to break through the barrier. As Constantine collapsed, a familiar figure appeared and promised to take over the fight without sacrificing anyone else.

  • The people of Dark Night City accused Silver Fantasy of betraying them after she took the Nightmare Demons through a spatial rift, and Constantine realized Lynn was not in the Fourth Layer.
  • Silver Fantasy brought the Nightmare Demons to the sanctuary Lynn had created in the Fourth Layer and told them Lynn was somewhere they would never find.
  • Constantine explained that Lynn’s true form remained in the Main Universe while his will was in the past of the River of Time, and the people of Dark Night City understood why Silver Fantasy had led the Nightmare Demons away.
  • Constantine tried to break through the Fourth Layer’s barrier with the Destruction Divine Spark but suffered a fatal backlash and collapsed.
  • A familiar figure caught Constantine and said no one else would be sacrificed.

Ch. 2559An icy tomb

Silver Fantasy trapped the Nightmare King and the other Nightmare Demons in the Fourth Layer, sacrificing herself to delay their attempt to find and kill the Raven and complete their Master's resurrection. As the Nightmare King tortured her soul, a slash of sinfire suddenly tore through the bindings around her.

  • Silver Fantasy sealed the Nightmare Demons inside the Fourth Layer and explained that they could escape only by dying and being resurrected.
  • The Nightmare King attacked Silver Fantasy, but the four Nightmare Demons failed to break through the layer's spatial structure.
  • One Nightmare Demon blamed the Nightmare King for delaying their Master's resurrection and ruining their chance to reach the heart of the Main Universe.
  • The Nightmare King tortured Silver Fantasy's soul with black snakes while she accepted her fate and regretted not seeing him again.
  • A slash of sinfire tore through the shackles binding Silver Fantasy as she opened her eyes.

Ch. 2560He's back!!!

Lynn returned to the battlefield and rescued Silver Fantasy from the Nightmare Demons, revealing his controlled Sinfire and promising to kill them again. He stood motionless as the Red Demon attacked, stopping the enormous blade with his scabbard.

  • Lynn caught Silver Fantasy as she fell and burned away the darkness with his Sinfire.
  • Lynn apologized to Silver Fantasy and explained that the God Frontier could have restored her if she had died elsewhere, but death here would leave no future.
  • Lynn placed Silver Fantasy behind him and told her he had never considered her a burden.
  • The Nightmare King warned the other demons about Lynn’s domain and revealed he had obtained power from Father to counter it.
  • The Red Demon charged Lynn with his enormous blade, and Lynn blocked the blow with his scabbard.
