The Snow Empress is the only Heavenly Snow Woman in the Far North, born and nurtured by heaven and earth. As its ruler, she carries a portion of the region's fortune and is favored by the Douluo Plane. Before meeting Lin Xiao, she lived amid prolonged competition and knew little of human society beyond occasional observations of villages near the Far North 12 20 32.

She sheltered a branch of the Snow Woman Clan in a secret realm beneath her palace after centuries of hunting by ice-attribute Soul Masters had steadily reduced their population. The refuge surrounds the Ice God Spring, which accelerates their cultivation and can occasionally give birth to new Snow Women. She also entrusted them with guarding the spring, the true heart of her palace 32 33.

She revered the Ice God, the first Heavenly Snow Woman of the Far North, while suspecting that the deity had fallen after more than ten thousand years without an oracle. Lin Xiao's discovery of the Ice God Pearl briefly renewed her hope; his encounter with the deity's remnant soul instead confirmed her death and opened a path for the Snow Empress to inherit her position 13 14.

She accepts an elder's position only after distinguishing her personal service from committing the entire region, whose inhabitants could otherwise face exploitation or forced sacrifice 12.

Over six years with Lin Xiao, she becomes more affectionate, playful, and willing to explore human life. She teases him, joins everyday games, and openly acknowledges her feelings despite uncertainty about human relationships. Her occasional jealousy does not weaken her longstanding bond with the Ice Empress; she welcomes their continued closeness rather than treating Bing'er as a rival 20 23 34 38 39.
