Driven by an ominous premonition, Aikawa Kaze grabbed Satoru Gojo's wrist and blurted out impulsively.
"Gojo Sensei, I suddenly had a thought. How about we squeeze in one more stop?"
"What?"
Gojo paused, looking at him in confusion.
"Is anything more important than going to see Tsumiki?"
Despite his words, Satoru Gojo's fingers were already on his phone's keypad. Clearly, he was ready to call someone.
The gesture made Aikawa Kaze feel a little embarrassed. He really only had a vague sense that trouble was coming, and he couldn't explain why.
Just now, he had instinctively felt that since Brain had been dealt with, perhaps it would be better to take care of Uraume and Sukuna as well.
"Ring, ring~"
As his phone rang, Aikawa Kaze glanced at the caller ID. As expected, it was Megumi Fushiguro.
"Kaze, the hospital just called me. Tsumiki woke up!!!"
Megumi Fushiguro sounded incredibly excited on the other end, eager to share the good news with his younger brother.
"I'm heading to the hospital now. Come over as soon as you're done! Oh, and remember to tell Gojo Sensei too-I'm rushing to catch my ride... crap, my phone's almost dead. Talk later!"
The usually composed Megumi Fushiguro was breathless. The call ended before Aikawa Kaze could reply, his battery dying at just the right moment, after he had said everything he needed to.
"What kind of weird death flag is this?"
Aikawa Kaze frowned. No matter how rushed Megumi Fushiguro was, he wouldn't simply hang up. Clearly, he had left in a hurry with his phone nearly dead, and that was why the call had cut out.
Why did this feel so much like a scene where the protagonist ran into danger, only for his means of communication to fail at the critical moment?!
