Beyond 0.95 AU.
The human fleet drifted silently through the deep darkness of space.
Inside the Earth.
Lü Yongchang sat in his chair, quietly watching the Holographic Image before him.
When he saw countless explosions flare around Proxima b in the image, a trace of resignation crossed his face.
"Looks like they built quite a few defensive installations in planetary orbit."
As time passed, the flashes of the explosions gradually faded.
Lü Yongchang said softly, "Zero, report the results."
"Professor, observations indicate that 151 projectiles penetrated the enemy defense network. Of those, 63 struck enemy defensive installations, while 88 entered the enemy atmosphere and successfully struck their home territory."
As Zero spoke, a simulation appeared in the enormous holographic projection at the front of the command center.
The specific configuration of Proxima b's Circumplanetary Defense Network was displayed before everyone.
"Based on our observations, the enemy's defensive weapons consist of Orbital High-Energy Laser Cannons and orbital Electromagnetic Cannons."
Lü Yongchang nodded thoughtfully.
There was little discrepancy with the information transmitted to Earth back then. The Proxima Centauri Civilization had indeed entered a period of stagnation.
Even after more than a century of development, they remained a level one civilization.
Moreover, the intelligence above gave Lü Yongchang an idea.
The Proxima Centauri Civilization seemed not to have unlocked artificial intelligence technology.
The reason was simple. The first round had been a probing attack, and the human fleet had actually fired relatively few projectiles.
Even so, gaps had appeared in their defense network, and they had even suffered substantial losses.
That was enough to support his conjecture.
At the very least, Zero would never have made such elementary mistakes.
At that thought, a gleam flashed in Lü Yongchang's eyes. "Zero, simulate their interception process and see if you can find any weaknesses."
